2NE1 to finally debut in Music Station!

Korea’s 4-member girl group 2NE1 will appear on the “Revenge Performance” episode of TV Asahi’s Music Station airing 9/2 (September
2nd).


At first, 2NE1 was supposed to appear live on the 3/11 episode to kick off their activities in Japan, but the Great East Japan
Earthquake hit, and the broadcast was canceled. The 4 of them, who encountered the Earthquake immediately after the show’s rehearsals, also experienced shock. However, they were determined to cheer up people who have been waiting for them with a performance and decided on a rematch. The songs they’ll perform are planned to be chosen from their Japan
debut mini album “Nolza,” out on September 21st.


This will be their first time singing on a Japanese music program, and the members have commented, "We're very glad to be able to see you all like this again. We'll see each other soon!"

my opinion about them debuting on music station still remains the same, i love 2ne1, their music and i find them talented as fuck, but it's unfair for them as rookies to debut on music station when many japanese artists never had the chance to there. it's like they are getting it way too easy instead of working the way up.

Well, it's not like 2NE1 (particularly any Korean artist) are the first ones to do this nor are stopping other j-companies from investing in their own artists (which is the main problem with j-labels these days). And honestly, Msta is not a prestigious show at all especially where you have to work really hard to get on. =/ I mean, my girl Jasmine was on there and she's not that well-known at all...even lesser known than 2NE1. All the companies have to do is pay them to be featured on the show and bam, you're on.

Honestly I am very pressed about them debuting in Music Station, while there are other korean groups that have been working longer in Japan and still haven't got a chance to perform there. Idk, it's the power of papa YG I guess, but I still don't like it.

It's just that 2NE1 will perform there before their debut mini-album is released...

TVQX was a different case since JE was blocking them from performing there...

Music Station, Budokan and Kouhaku are the things that say "you've made it" in Japan. While its not unknown for rookies to appear on their (Johnny for examples. But that Johnnies), its usually something groups always talk about wanting to work for, so while you can pay to get on these, its kind of expectation that you're invited after topping the chart or tons of fan write in.

(That said, I don't have a problem with them buying their way/using their Avex connections and I'm a bit surprise that its here, not arama, that we are having a problem, but this is just a explanation if anyone needs it)

I was going to try and not say anything, but the whole, "I hope their isn't a earthquake that will disrupt this performances" is REALLY tactless. Japan is STILL suffering from the effects of the Tsunami and the fact 2NE1 couldn't preform shouldn't even register on people concerns.
