Because they had enough of their old group TVXQ (iconic K-Pop group, debuted 2003) Junsu, Yoochun and Jaejoon decided to form JYJ (stands for their first names). Their first album "The Beginning" became 2010 a major success in South Korea and Japan. One Fan-Girl on the Internet: "JYJ sing like 3 dark angles from a different world!" Right now they're planning a tour, even a few dates in Germany are in talk!

The boys from BIGBANG are truly multi-talents: They dance, rap, sing and beatbox. Formed in 2006 they've already released many albums ("BIGBANG VOl. 1", "Remember") and are really popular amongst korean fans. Being one of the few K-Acts they managed to have success in Japan with their club-rap-songs (they even write english lyrics). Now Europe wants them!

Cool looks, heartbroken-songs and kung-fu-choreos (lol wtf) - 5-member boyband SHINee from Seoul are especially amongst girls really popular! Not only their R&B-Sound (debut-LP "The SHINee World" was released 2008 only in korea) but also their style makes them to stars! Students in South Korea even wear the "SHINee-Trend": tight jeans, plateau shoes and leather jackets! Current album: "Lucifer"

These girls are South Koreas hottest act right now - their songs are at the top of the charts, their styling is cult: Sometimes 2NE1 (spoken "To Anyone") can be seen as sexy bitches, sometimes they look like crazy warriors with their military-look! On their debut-album "To Anyone" (2010) are dance-tracks like "Go Away", cool hip-hop songs and R&B-tracks. Now Will.I.Am from the Black Eyed Peas as their producer has taken them under his wings and plans their debut in the USA.

These girls (their shriller sound sounds like a washing-powder-commercial song (LMAO WAT)) perform crazy live-shows, sometimes like sexy stewardesses, sometimes like hot james-bond girls. Their current Album: "Girl's Generation".

Facts to K-Pop:
K-Pop is a term for groups from Souh Korea. Most of them sing in english (lol do you mean engrish?) and want to have success outside of Korea. K-Pop Groups are a hot tip amongst insiders in Germany.

Only a few Groups managed to release their CDs in Europe, thats why most fans download their music from the internet. Check their websites or look for the bands on Youtube, Myspace & Facebook!

first of all: sorry if the translation sounds a bit weird but i wanted to share this with you guys as soon as possible so i translated it in a rush (if you find mistakes please tell me about it and i'll edit the text). srsly, this is just.. uh. first of all i have to say that popcorn magazine is not really popular in germany, it has a few readers but tbh im still surprised that it exist, i thought nobody buys it lol. second i have to say that most of the names are totally wrong, e.g. they write that Victoria is Krystal or Seungri is G-Dragon. and third.. i dont want my kpop in germany jfc.
oh and i forgot: my favorite sentence from the whole article is the thing about SNSD singing songs that sound like a washing-powder-commercial song.
