The composition for Checkmate is pretty nice, has a good beat. ^^ But sometimes I think Yunho isn't quite sure how to use/compose for his own voice. I love hearing him sing ballads, but I always feel like he's holding back. And he can hit the high notes, too, so I dunno why it always feels like he's holding back.

Agreed! His voice is very strong, it shows when he sings ballads especially the bit where he has to belt it out like in 'You're My Melody'. He should just let go lol. and I dont know if its just me but he seems to get less singing parts compared to the others D:

He has a great voice. It's tough though, being in a group with four other talented singers his voice sometimes gets ignored. He's more than just 'the dancer/the leader;' his vocals are an important component of the group. There's a verse in Beautiful Life that he does so beautifully salkfjasf I replay it a lot when I listen to the song. And 9095 showcased his voice well, too.

honestly, i prefer his compositions the most out of everyone in dbsk (and i swear it's not because of my bias)because these songs are so catchy. The lyrics are kind of lol-worthy though. XD
Spokesman and Checkmate are such completely different songs though.
