Sidua HQ explaine Han Ye Seul's no show

Earlier today, the media reported that Han Ye Seul had refused to show up for the filming of her drama, KBS’s ‘Spy Myung Wol’. Representatives of her agency, Sidus HQ, have come out with an explanation for the four-hour standby she forced onto the cast and staff.

Through Newsen, they explained, “Han Ye Seul is physically not in great condition, which is why she hasn’t gone to the film set yet. As reports said, it is true that she was also late for filming on August 12th. Yesterday, however, filming was scheduled to end at 2 AM but it ended at 5 AM instead. There was another filming scheduled for 7 AM, so isn’t it only natural that she isn’t able to make it?”

According to the representative, the producers of the drama and Han Ye Seul had conflicts when it came to balancing their schedules.

The representative added, “Han Ye Seul will return to the film set as soon as she’s in better health.”

if this is really true (which I highly doubt), then they should have talked it out with the show's producers in the first place, instead of having an exchange through news articles. smh. it seems the company is trying to cover her ass.

I don't like this whole "film right before it airs" schedule. If one thing goes wrong, it can mess things up. Didn't Heart Strings get delayed because of illness/injury?

And it sounds like an awful filming schedule.

That's how dramas are, unfortunately. The last episode of "My Princess" finished shooting mere hours before it aired.

Then again, all the actors know how toxic drama filmings are. They know exactly what they sign up for. This is why when actors hit it big and successfully cross over to movies, most would rather not return to dramas because they don't like the toxic filming schedules.

It's one of the biggest things I hate about watching K dramas but the alternative is the show finishing up filming and then taking forever to air (Birdie Buddy) or not airing at all (What's Up!).

That sucks that it went overtime and they expected her to be back in 2 hours (with travel time, makeup, hair, outfit changes, etc, I doubt if she even have those 2 hours). The again, the 7AM filming was already scheduled so she probably should have gone.

Drama filming schedules are intense. I see why a lot of actors do one big role and retire to CFs.

I don't believe a word of it. The companies are usually willing to negotiate and work out schedules when there are health issues at stake.

Also, this seems to much like a "press conference war." If Han Ye Seul has done wrong and is apologetic about it, AND TRULY HAD A GOOD REASON, she should say something herself.

Suck it up, girl, and get over yourself. It's not like the fast-paced, intense scheduling for dramas is a new thing.

basically the meeting only confirmed the stance of each side but no solution was agreed upon
at the moment the crew will be waiting til 12am

It sounds like she snapped under all the pressure and just gave up on the drama. I feel for all the people in the drama she's let down, but I'm sure she's not in a good place as well.

She probably is, but then you can't blame others for feeling that way, since it's her job; people expect her to be professional and deal with personal issues outside of work. Hopefully she'll get back on her feet and this won't affect her career in a major way.

I kinda feel like this is a publicity thing too, only cause the drama hasn't been getting such great ratings. But now Han Ye Seul is like number 1 searched on Naver or something. Maybe this will result to more viewership? Who knowsss, I just want episode 11,

Really? What an excuse. I do understand that there are health issues that comes with this intense schedule...but that's how everyone is feeling as well.
And they could have negotiated this issue properly instead of making all these people suffer.

They need to shoot a bit earlier to have time if something happens.
Or why not like...make the other characters more of the main and put her in the back burner?
