....there are other ways to be similar to a group other than popularity. personally i don't get the SMAP comparison but I kind of see the Arashi a little one in being colorful, boy next door image etc but either way i don't get being salty over it

Actually I was a bit pressed when they called them the Asian version of the Beatles. Because that was more lol worthy. But you need to understand that Asia likes saying that a group is the counterpart of X, Y, Z band and it's just a offhand comparison of the boys. Nothing more nothing less. So ultimately these little comparisons are not that big of a deal.
