CSJH’s Dana & Sunday discuss their comeback

CSJH’s Dana and Sunday finally completed their comeback week of performances after being away from the stage for four years. Wearing expressions of both anticipation and nervousness, the ladies stood before reporters for their first interview backstage at KBS’s ‘Music Bank‘.

Dana began, “I think we’re the oldest seniors here. A couple of junior singers stopped by to greet us with their CDs, and it made me wonder if time really flew by that fast.” Sunday added, “There are a lot of cute, fresh new faces.”

News of their comeback first came out through a KBS documentary, where SM Entertainment’s schedule sheet for the year was accidentally leaked.

Dana said, “We were surprised at first, but also thankful to see that so many people were still waiting for us. We were in the middle of shooting our music video when the schedule sheet was leaked so it gave us a lot of strength.”

Speaking on their comeback, Sunday said, “It’s true that we’re expecting to make some achievements since it’s our first comeback in four years. But what I felt during those four years on hiatus was that the process is more important than the results. Preparing for a comeback during that long period allowed me to feel the importance of our staff, members, and fans. I want to create a memorable experience for my 20’s.”

Dana concluded, “Idols are the trends now. They’re pretty, and they’re an icon that many people can follow. What I want to show is that idols are singers too. I want to show everyone our vocal talents and be recognized for our musicality.”

Idols are the trends now. They’re pretty, and they’re an icon that many people can follow. What I want to show is that idols are singers too. I want to show everyone our vocal talents and be recognized for our musicality.

as much I love and respect you Dana bb, you both with Sunday can't show your vocal abilities through One More Chance. And I'm the one of the minority who actually enjoys the song, stages and such.

i was thinking the exact same thing, but i honestly realised that there are so many newer fans who don't know about them and prefer idol music. so like, i think their songs reach out to that audience?

maybe they'll get a better song once they can build up a better fanbase, since they were on hiatus for so long. sucks though, cause the songs they sang with all the vocal power were the songs i reallyreally enjoyed (not saying i don't like One More Chance, because it's really catchy too)

Paradoxically there were more of people who reacted like: "I don't see anything awesome in them as fans were stating about". Obviously SM's plan was to reach audience with the song which suits trends since they've never been that popular in Korea, not even saying about Japan.

I hope so. I hope that the full group's comeback will be really something.

seeing as they were the 1st kpop girl group i really got into, i was slightly disappointed, but their live performances really save them. as in, with that amount of talent, you'd think they'd get a song that really showcases something different.

Their plan WAS to reach out to the audience, but since so many fans expected more, i guess it kinda fell :/ that sucks.

I agree so much. Their management was probably coward to give them something different, not-autotuned and not sounding like f(x) leftover. Everything only to follow the trends.

Yup, it didn't please actual fans, but maybe will gain some new ones? If that's possible.

But again, I think there's too much auto tune in their new song that can't bring out their powerful voices :(

Being that they were interviewed backstage at Music Bank, it's probably true. Most of the idols performing now at the music shows debuted within the last two years.
