SM, YG, and JYP Entertainment team up for the global idol auditions "Kpop Star"

The "big three" agencies in South Korea, SM, YG, and JYP Entertainment, will be uniting to represent Korea in a global idol audition to discover the next big idol. SM Entertainment's Lee Sooman, YG Entertainment's Yang Hyunsuk, and JYP Entertainment's Park Jinyoung shook the world with their top Kpop idol groups.

On Monday, July 12th, the BIG 3 will air the first episode of "Survival, Audition Kpop Star on SBS with auditions from Asia, Europe, South America, and the United States. The show will visit countries from all over the world to find the next generation of Kpop stars.

"Survival Audition Kpop Star" marks the very first time the BIG 3 companies of Korea have gathered together in one place, including Korea, for auditions. The three companies are planning to shake the Kpop world once again by finding the most well-rounded, talented singers through these auditions.

In addition to singers, they will be looking for talented dancers as well. The winner of "Survival Audition Kpop Star" will win a prize of 300 million won (282,000 USD) worth of music productions and will have the chance to sign an exclusive contract with the companies, who will provide the winner a car, drama castings, CF contracts, and more.

Hmm JYP also allows creative control to be fair--2PM's Junho/Junsu and WG's Ye Eun had the songs they wrote/compose make it onto official album releases...

YG artists do seem to have the greatest opportunities for going solo though, so that too is a plus.

I'd still pick sme. ( I like there music the best. I would hate doing YG style and, while I do like MissA... JYP has very few songs I dig) lol.

Though SME also gives their senior artist creative control. Tohoshinki and Big Bang have penned a bunch of songs and SNSD seems really excited to start. (Plus didn't some of the SHINee boys pen lyrics too)

i personally would go with JYP. Not to say that JYP idols are untalented hacks but they do tend to focus on personalities and entertainment skills. I also like how JYP himself is personally involved with his artists. SM Idols are overworked and deprived of a personal life, that much is obvious. While I do like the fact that YG idols have creative control and aren't whored on variety shows constantly, I lack the creativity to actually use that creative control and I wouldn't fit YG's style onstage. I am black though, lol. I don't know why I'm considering all this since it's not like I have a shot.

it's between YG and JYP. their artists seem to have the most fun tbh, and genuinely enjoy what they do, and have a family like atmosphere, but both companies have shit i dont like.

i think JYP makes more bad songs than good and his "this is a JYP production" shit gets annoying as hell. i think he thinks he's doing a good job with thd WG but their r several things he's doing wrong with their presence overseas and i think he's ruining them, tbh. 2PM hasnt gotten any better post heartbeat---- musically, styling, choreography....though their latest track is fun like 10 out of 10, but i aint writing home about it.

YG is just as bad musically these days, the autotune and excessive styling is getting out of control. they also threw aside so e of their better artists in favor of the idol market, and as much as i LOVE big bang, they need to get back to their r&b, pre- autone sound, GD should take a break from writing songs and stop singing entirely, and se7en, gummy, and red roc should be give some real shine. but hey, at least they vacation...
