I think it's funny that the pre-release PR specifically pointed out their English proficiency and yet they can't pronounce the most basic things, singing.
so it's cool and all that it's an all-girl BAND, but this isn't exactly rock... pop rock, sure, but that's like the black sheep of the rock world cuz it's POP. they sound ok, but personally I'm not feeling them. I was unimpressed. maybe their next song might change my opinion, idk. we'll see. As for this song, tho, I didn't like it. I am, however, happy to see a band of all girls playing instruments. the world is seriously lacking these.
(LEDApple does it better. All of them dance, not the lead and two back-ups. no hand dancing guitarist/bassist either >.< that has no aesthetic appeal whatsoever...)
Tbh, I think I got the furthest through the video here and I couldn't even make it past the 00:48 mark. I was so excited till I heard the autotune, then they started butchering the English.
I never got into FT Island or CNBlue. I tried but, it sounds weird; like they're mixing rock with pop and the result is unappealing... I feel Japan's got ahold of rock. Lets say Miyavi, he's got the edge I am looking for.
I'm not a fan of either myself. Pop-rock can be done right, but not when it's in the hands of idol groups. Swimmin' Fish does it right imho. They have spunky pop, but there's still a rock feel to it.
I just youtubed them and listened to Fly and 떠나가버려! And, yes, this, I can enjoy!:D I mean, juggling two genres can be dangerous and a group should be careful to balance them properly... Korea needs more rock imo!):
I was hoping this would at least be a cover of the Taegoon song. No me gusta. This is like when 2NE1 or KARA or Girl's Day pretended to be rock bands in their videos but not nearly as catchy or good.
