After School to promote two units at the same time next month

For the first time ever, After School will be promoting two separate unit groups at the same time!

On June 24th, Pledis Entertainment revealed, “For After School’s fourth single, which is currently scheduled for release in mid-July, the girls will be splitting into two units and will be making a comeback on the same exact date.”

They continued, “Not only will they have a sexy and powerful image concept, but also another concept that aims to contrast against that to bring out a variety of different images through this promotion cycle.”

The members for each unit group and style concept have yet to be revealed, so remember to stay tuned for more updates!

excited for double dose of after school! Also, apparently Pledis will be asking the fans to choose the 2 sub-unit names. There’ll be a contest or some sort.

Ah I see. idk that's kinda weird because it's basically just Orange Caramel + Jungah. Plus that group now has almost all of After School's vocal strengths (Raina, Jungah, Lizzy) while the other group only has Gahee so it seems a little imbalanced.

I think Jungah should've been switched for Eyoung or Lizzy for UEE or something.

ia! pledis is weird.. it really bothers me that they keep shoving jungah w/ raina no matter what. jungah said shes been sick so im thinking it might had to do w/ that but i'm just speculating.
and im thinking maybe eyoung might be able to sing a little better than what it seemed in shampoo. idk what to expect.. pledis always comes out w/ random shit out of nowhere.

looking at both pictures, it's really hard to tell which one gets the non-sexy/powerful image. afterschool really should stick to being fierce and forget that current trend of being cute and retro. they should go all out dance/club.

but i do hope jungah's subunit gets some hot times like ballad if they're all about showcasing their vocal talent.

but lol, if kahi's subunit gets a rock theme to accomodate one of e-young's many talents.

Going to be helplessly delusional and just be thinking that everyone in the OC+Jungah subgroup will get a fair distribution of lines, because in Orange Caramel it works well. And Pledis, be clever for once and give both Jungah and Raina adlibs.

Thinking about it, though I really wished for Jungah to be with Kahi it is a more clever move to put her with OC, because OC is pretty popular. The people who will be looking at this subgroup will be people that love OC and it gives Jungah a chance to gather some fans from those people. If she gets lines, that is. Now it also makes sense that Jungah was DJ in Bangkok City.
