AFTER SCHOOL TO PROMOTE TWO UNITS AT THE SAME TIME~

For the first time ever, After School will be promoting two separate unit groups at the same time!

On June 24th, Pledis Entertainment revealed, “For After School’s fourth single, which is currently scheduled for release in mid-July, the girls will be splitting into two units and will be making a comeback on the same exact date.”

They continued, “Not only will they have a sexy and powerful image concept, but also another concept that aims to contrast against that to bring out a variety of different images through this promotion cycle.”

The members for each unit group and style concept have yet to be revealed.

so im guessing one is as: originals and the other one.....????? i know theres violet girls in which lizzy, eyoung and 3 new girls r rumored to be in but idt the other subgroup is them if as: originals is the one happening.

It seems that they are really going down the Morning Musume route, but with different images, etc.

I'm glad they are doing this. It means that members who aren't part of the main focus of the main group will get more opportunity to shine and to show us what they can do.

Although, I kinda feel that the Korean music industry is going to have a hard time accommodating even more groups; this was especially evident during the period when 4-5 groups debuted and everyone started making comebacks in March-April, and rookies had their debut performances cut-down, while existing groups had comebacks in which they performed twice (some established acts have only performed one song for comeback stages during busy periods before)

Hopefully, with more groups set to debut in coming months/years, the industry will be more able to accommodate in terms of giving new groups/rookies adequate time to actually establish themselves, and to show people what they've got.
