2AM's Changmin confirmed to be leaving "Immortal Song 2"

It has been revealed that ballad group 2AM's Changmin will stop appearing in 'Immortal Song 2'. This has aroused confusion as to why so many contestants had entered the show despite their hectic schedule.

Changmin's agency expressed through Starnews that: 'Changmin's last appearance on KBS's Immortal Song 2 will be on the 4th of next month.'

One of his reasons to leave the show is that he is preparing for a HOMME comeback with 8Eight's Lee Hyun. They are scheduled to release the single in July and both members are very busy preparing for the piece.

Changmin has appeared in Immortal Song 2 since the very beginning along with SISTAR's Hyorin. Others who first appeared in the show were IU, Beast's Yoseob (preparing for Japanese market), SHINee's Jonghyun, and Super Junior's Yesung. Secret's Song Ji Eun made her debut appearance last episode and has revealed she will step down from her position.

New substitutes will replace the exiting members, and many are conscious that Hyorin is the only member who is still in the program from the very beginning.

It was planned this way from the beginning. They had at least 10 names confirmed before they ever started filming, even though only 6 would compete per episode.

Noooooooooo Changmin...I started to stan you because of this show :( ..oh well, I wonder who's going to replace him. TBH, I'm one of the few who actually like the 'revolving door' of idols. Seeing the same faces each week would get a bit old ..and this way I'm exposed to more people in kpop without having to suffer through their group songs

Okay so we started out with

IU, Yesung, Jonghyun, Changmin, Yoseob, Hyorin (1st episode)

switched IU for Jieun (2nd & 3rd episode)

switched Jonghyun, Yoseob, and Yesung out for G.O., Hongki, and Junsu (2PM) (current lineup)

Jieun will be leaving and Jiyoon will be taking her place.

Changmin will be leaving, no word on his replacement (although I'd guess Yonghwa, since he was one of the confirmed ones at the beginning).

I wonder how many artists they'll have on it all told.

I don't understand Immortal Song 2. I don't watch it, but is it like a competition show (where somebody announces they are leaving every episode)? Or is it just purely singing-entertaining show?

I might be the only person that likes the fact that the add people and people leave. There is more variety, and more idols get exposure.

Still rooting for Hyorin to win just about every episode. That girl is amazing.
