Recently, tvN's e News discussed Yuri's latest diet plan. The plan includes seasonal greens, five brocolli heads, 100 grams of grilled chicken breast, 150 grams of brown rice, and more. The diet weighs in at approximately 1,500 calories per day.
Yuri's trainer revealed that the reason for her new diet was SNSD's upcoming Paris and Japanese tours and promotions. He also revealed that she actively completed both aerobic and ab exercises.
On the show, nutrition experts were asked for their opinion on her latest diet. Yuri received a score of 97/100 for her diet. Lee Kyungyoung, a doctor and diet specialist, asked if Yuri also had a nutritionist working for her as well, seeing as how her diet was so well balanced. Experts added that is anchovies or shrimp were included in the diet, it would score even higher.
Since the diet consists of 1,500 calories, it is easy for non-celebrities to adopt. However, the biggest problem with Yuri's diet is that it lacks calcium. Calcium is known to help prevent osteoporosis, and females specifically in their twenties are at a high risk level for developing osteoporosis.

Date: 2011-06-19 04:26 pm (UTC)although considering the amount of exercise she was doing at the same time, it probably wasn't enough.

Date: 2011-06-19 04:28 pm (UTC)That's why making these girls go on crazy diets makes me so angry. Their health aside, every time they get sick, need an IV, etc. that's a hit to business. It just makes no sense.

Date: 2011-06-19 04:43 pm (UTC)Mind, she's looking better now, like, she wasn't as skinny as I expected at SMTOWN. I really should've brought her some McDonald's and thrown them hamburgers at her.

Date: 2011-06-19 04:47 pm (UTC)The article says it's a good diet so I guess it's ok. The only thing that's not good is the fact that Yuri lost weight when she didn't really need to. Other than that, it looks like a healthy diet.
To be honest, I saw SNSD at the SMTOWN Live in Paris last week and I expected the girls to be shockingly skinny, because that's basically what most people say and think about the girls. Yet all the girls ARE thin, but they all look healthy.
Yuri in particular, may look scarily thin on pics but she doesn't look unhealthy IRL. The only member I thought was too skinny was Sooyoung, but she's always been like this so I guess it's just the way her morphology is.
