Recently UEE has been cast as the female lead in the upcoming drama ‘Golden Pond’. But, before this UEE was the female lead in the unaired drama ‘Birdie Buddy’.
‘Birdie Buddy’ was initially scheduled to air a few months ago through MBC but its release date was delayed and there were even rumors the drama would never be released. After a few set backs this drama will finally be broadcast through the tvN station in mid August.
When the news about ‘Birdie Buddy’ potentially being cancelled was released many netizens spoke disparagingly of UEE and there was even talk of a “curse”. Now not only will ‘Birdie Buddy’ finally be aired but ‘Golden Pond’ will also start filming soon. These two dramas will allow viewers who once underestimated U-ie’s acting to finally appreciate her abilities. With two dramas and a single album being released soon UEE is well on her way to becoming the “Summer Queen”.
