Lee Ji Ah & Jung Woo Sung Go Their Seperate Ways

Actors Lee Ji Ah and Jung Woo Sung have announced that they’ve gone their separate ways. Back in April, Lee Ji Ah shocked the Korean entertainment industry with her controversial marriage and divorce to 90s pop icon Seo Taiji. The couple managed to hide their marriage from the world for fourteen years.

After news of her marriage and divorce to Seo Taiji became public, Lee Ji Ah dropped her lawsuit over alimony and asset division against the Korean music legend on April 30th. However, Seo Taiji refused Lee Ji Ah’s withdrawal and submitted a counterargument to the Seoul Family Court on May 17th. Representatives of Seo’s management agency stated, “We submitted a counterargument because we wanted to clarify the truth, as well as prevent the recurrence of this case in the future.”

A source stated, “Lee Ji Ah and Jung Woo Sung have parted ways in May after dating for three months. The pain between them was too much for them to handle.” The two actors met while filming “ATHEHA: Goddess of War,” and started dating last February.”

Jung Woo Sung confirmed his breakup to actress Lee Ji Ah at his fan meeting. Meanwhile, Lee Ji Ah and Seo Taiji are still in the middle of their lawsuit. Their fourth hearing is scheduled for July 4th.

Jung Woo Sung and Lee Ji Ah were spotted on a date in the Champs-Élysées in Paris on March 6th.

I for one am not sad nor sorry about this, what kind of future is there when the world is watching and you keep major details to yourself?!!!
Gurl needs to work a lot of things out before being capable of a healthy, honest relationship. After the need of hiding and maintaining a relationship and marriage for so many years it's unfair to think she doesn't carry emotional baggage w/ her and perhaps that's why she negated telling JWS even though they were close enough to take a vacation together. And JWS never deserved to be the neglected party privy to the info especially with the rigid social expectations in SK.
I hope they both find partners in the future, they both deserve it but all of this was one hot mess and for people to realistically expect them (as adults and not some hormonal, jubilant teenagers all fluffy in luv) to overcome something like this makes me wonder what they expect in their own personal relationships, I would of been floored and pissed if I was JWS and I would of been scared and nervous yet hopeful if I was Lee Ji Ah but there's certain basic expectations you expect in a partner like talking honestly about your past relationships when it's obviously more than coffee dates and you're in the public eye. They weren't dating that long (3 months is nothing, like a school semester) so they weren't emotionally invested as much to really meet up to the expectation of their fans to overcome such hurdles. Maybe I'm working at a snail pace but being in a long term relationship after ending one that lasted 8 years I kinda feel like I have some ground to stand on and even though I'm not a celebrity, this kind of behavior would of never sat w/ me no matter whom the person was.

i think the separation was unavoidable as culture and tradition-wise it appears that parents never accept ones that are divorcees as their daughter-in-law. so i assume that the pressure and call waere made by woo-sung's parents.

there was probably risk on career expansion... anyway, it's sad!
