The photos above are photos from a KPop magazine in the Philippines called Sparkling Magazine. The article below (in English) is part of the story of one of the features inside the magazine - entitled "Up Close and Personal".
It tells of a fan encounter with f(x)'s Luna while randomly walking on the streets of Seoul. (And 2NE1 + SE7EN too!)
[Mods, I omitted the 2NE1 + SE7EN part because it was already featured in OMNTD before.]
ACCIDENTAL RUN-IN: f(x)’s LUNA
Around a week after [meeting/talking with 2NE1 and SE7EN], my friends had gone back to Manila and I was left for a few more days alone in Seoul. One item in my itinerary was to visit all the major agency buildings (SM, JYP and YG) and document it for FangirlDiaries.com.As I was walking back to the subway station, I saw a petite, light-haired girl walking towards my direction. She was dressed normally: sweatpants, a big hoodie, a pompom beanie, with a backpack and iPod in tow. Except she looked incredibly familiar: I knew I had seen her somewhere on You Tube before.
She stopped a bit to greet some elderly workers standing on the sidewalk, and I took this chance to approach her to ask for directions to Cheongdam station.
That was when I got a good look at her face and it was indeed, the powerful songstress of f(x), Luna! She was caught off-guard, and in the one minute of confusion and sign language that ensued, I rummaged inside my bag for my notebook and pen–I was not going to let this moment pass me by without evidence!
Luna then explained to me in a mix of short English phrases and sign language how to get to Cheongdam station. I thanked her, then gathered up my courage to ask, “You’re Luna from f(x), right? Can I please have your autograph?”
She smiled, nodded and asked me to write down my name, then proceeded to write a personalized autograph on my notebook. We talked for a bit: she asked me where I was from (the Philippines!), I told her I loved Nu ABO, and even asked her to say hi to the rest of f(x) for me.I’m not certain if we understood each other 100%, but one thing’s for sure: Luna had such a genuine smile and a friendly, down-to-earth aura.
Up to now, I can’t believe a KPop star actually helped me find a subway station!
But as with most stars, she nicely declined my request to take a picture, after which we said our goodbyes. (I managed to snap a paparazzi picture of her as she walked away, though!)Credit:
