hm, i think she's tons better than rihanna. but for some reason, evern since she joined 2ne1, her voice has been getting progressively higher -- i guess to match with pop tunes. but in this video (around 1:00 mark), her voice is lower and suits her better, imo.
Yeah, I don't think you mean her pitch is sharp because she's on point pitch wise - but in tone she is very nasal. She projects way too much into her nasal cavity and it sounds pinched. I've said it before, listening to her sing for long periods of time makes my throat hurt because I know exactly how singing like that feels and sounds and it's not too pleasant.
I mostly blame all the songs they've given her so far. Her voice has a lower range, more so than Minzy's, Cl's or Dara's but the key to every song 2ne1 has done so far is in a more higher range which makers her strain her voice to match the key. Bom has a very beautiful tone to her when given the right song at the right key. i.e. Forever with You, We Belong Together, Baby Boy, etc. etc. basically all her stuff before debut.

GD hurt his leg/ankle (not sure which) during one of the first two concerts in Japan. He was in some pain but, according to fans who attended the recent concert, he said he is better now.
Re: Park Bom. I am so so so glad YG created YG ON AIR. Kpop is all fine and dandy with the tight choreographies and manufactured sound, but I am loving this return to basics. I like pop and all but I grew up on rock bands and cabaret singers so being able to see the artistry behind the music is SO. MUCH. ♥.
One of the things that bothered (bothers?) me about kpop was that you never see the groups perform with a live band, even during their own concerts. I was disheartened by that because the musicians don't get the recognition they deserve. And obviously they must be great for them to have been chosen to play on the records in the first place. So unfair.
I'm not a musician myself but give me an acoustic performance and I go gaga over the whole thing, haha.
