Not So Nyeo Shi Dae, but Korea is looking for one of the best ul jjangs (best face) around in the variety show ‘Ul Jjang Shi Dae’ to be the next Goo Hye Sun’s and Hyun Bins’.

New variety show will be up on cable channel ComedyTV called ‘Ul Jjang Shi Dae’.

The first airing was on 6th June and it introduces the 10 uljjangs (best faces) featured on the survival show. Already there has been much interests from netizens about these 10 uljjangs.

The MC to the show Kim Tae Hyun said, “It is surprising that there are many uljjangs on the internet, whose popularity surpasses that of some celebrities. And in person, these uljjangs are really pretty and goodlooking. And through this show, we will reveal the real sides of these uljjang through mission games.”





The 10 uljjangs (in the order of the pics):

1. ‘Internet’s Ivy’ Han Bom
2. Lee Yoo Joo who is also called the ‘So Nyeo Shi Dae’s YoonA‘
3. Jung Hyun Joo ‘ChoongMoon’s Goo Hye Sun’
4. ‘Ice Princess’ Kwon Soo Jung
5. ‘HongDae’s KARA’ Lee Yae Jin
6. Hong Yeong Gi, who gets more than 3,000 views on her minihompy monthly
7. OhDae uljjang Park Sang Il
8. Park Jae Hyun who is very popular amongst schoolgirls
9. Shopping mall CEO Joo Hyun Ho
10. ‘Doll guy’ Ho Joon Yeon

Well I for one think the more pretty people in the world the better.

I'd like a reduction of the unwashed cretins that walk the streets plz. I'm looking at men mostly here, nice to see men who take care of their appearance without being called "gay", as if sexual preference has some magical link to wanting to not let yourself go.

As for surgery comments - homg lyk Korea is not the only country where people get cosmetic surgery. Hate to break it to you but it happens all over the world.

omg i don't care I LOVE ULZZANGS. i'm fascinated by this special korean phenomenon that's LIKE the myspace scene queen thing/chinese net idols, but different. i think it's because like, one of the no. 1 reasons they get famous is for the bombass photography. if anything the photographers should be the ones to get famous~~ but w/e i enjoy seeing pretty people in circle lens wearing good clothes well-photographed (keep in mind they're usually models anyways!! they're paid to look pretty anyways) it's basically living a fashion editorial in real life. which is like a dream come true for a magazine/vogue-obsessed person like me loll

aw bb! i'm sure you're qt, and truth be told, your friend probably has to do a LOT (i mean spend a lot of time and money) to look like an uljjang in real life. (that's why most find it easier to just PS it away and save their dollas lol) and frankly, i feel like it's miserable to invest so much to look that good unless you're a model/entertainer/something pertaining to having a public image, haha. it gives you a lot more grief later down the road in the end

yeah those comments have bothered me a bit in this post. god knows korea can be shallow, but come now, there's certainly a pattern in the western world to be followed that korea took their cues from (and in a traditionally korean way, took it to like DA MAXX/extreeeeme and overdid it, like asian kids studyin for the SATs)

it's all about culture, and while we may find it strange and unnerving that cosmetic surgery is so common over there, most koreans/japanese are shocked to hear about the "gun control" policies. that...may not be the best comparison lmao, but my point is it's all relative.

and omg i hear u on the nose job. i don't NEED it, i'm hardly hideously ugly or anything, but boy it would just be such a nice improvement lol. that's how i have to think of it-- cosm. surgery is a luxury not a necessity, so i won't ever get it unless i be rollin in the moneys 10+ years from now hahaha

I can't really say anything in regards to the plastic surgery because well.. It seems like every celeb and their mom has gotten some work done. XD; But maybe we should look at these kids as the result of the society they grew up in? idek. :\
