Yesterday, the boys of MBLAQ held a special fan event and celebrated their Japanese debut single, “Your Luv” placing 2nd on the vaunted Oricon charts. Well, now there’s cause for further celebration.

At the event, G.O commented, “We would love to become #1 on the Oricon ranking chart.” His wishes came to fruition as MBLAQ has reached #1 on the Oricon daily chart, they’ve sold a total of 11,066 copies of “Your Luv” to date. MBLAQ’s mentor, Rain, was so proud of this achievement that he posted a screenshot on his official official Twitter page.

In the mean time, MBLAQ will continue their fan tour across Japan later this month. They have two upcoming dates on May 23rd (Osaka @ Nanba Hatch) and on May 26th (Tokyo @ Zepp Tokyo). Tickets go on sale today (selection via raffle) and are priced at 7800 yen ($96 USD).

The soft and sexy voice is the charming main vocalist. ‘I think about my throat and always drink water. I also never really buy and eat sweets. If I have a bit of free time, then I try to sleep.’ Unexpectedly at this photoshoot, it came to light that he is a ‘mirror prince’.

Has a persistant attitude towards everything. A person who is enthusiastic towards their job, love and play, is sexy I think.

(I want to be followed on twitter by them) I want to be followed by Justin Timberlake. Like in his MV ‘What Goes Around… Comes Around’, sometime I want to try acting as a man who takes revenge on the girl who betrays him. However, I think I can definitely do it well.

I think it is over 100. The people I send so many to, are ordinary, close friends I’ve known for over 10 years.

My frankness, I suppose. I always do talking very openly. There are also things I don’t say on tv, but I haven’t said lies. Talking honestly has also become a problem, but I think that it’s comfortable. When you lie, you will always have to conceal things won’t you. That’s why I think being open is good.

Born October 16th 176cm Libra Blood Type A

On the day we interviewed them, in the area, there was an overlapping show editing and Sunho alone participated late. We thought he’d be tired, but he smiled while high in energy. After he arrived at the studio he soon calmed the place down, and he raised the combined strength of not just the members, but the staff as well. As expected of the leader. When asked, ‘As a leader’s special privilege, for one day, if it happens you can say self-indulging things towards the members?’ he unexpectedly (?), modestly replied ‘Because even now I say fairly self-indulging thing’s to them, there isn’t anything more than this.’ Studying piano for 10 years, in ‘BLAQ STYLE’ he displays a song he composed and played. Like that, there always exists a brand new fascination for the fans to enjoy. ‘It would probably be good to try challenging band-like music for our second single in Japan.’ We certainly want them to try that theory.

After eating in Japan, I like katsu-curry. In Korea, I don’t really eat tonkatsu and curry together. But it was really delicious.

Mir
Born March 10th, 1991 178cm Pisces Blood Type A

Mir, who for awhile suspended activities because of having lower back surgery, appeals with complete restoration saying ‘There is no pain anymore!’ . He was not just energetic in front of the camera, he also always displayed a mood maker appearance in the make-up room. To the staff who worried about his lower back’s condition, he spoke and laughed, and he enlivened the scene. Recently, it seems he has started to keep a puppy named ‘Soju’. ‘When I was thinking of the right name, my dad was in the corner drinking shochu (soju)’. Many times he told charming stories that appeared typical of him. Mir made the rap lyrics for ‘BLAQ STYLE”s ‘You’re My +’. ‘So fans can really understand our feelings, I wrote the lyrics thinking of them. With everyone, our compatibility will be perfect!’

Chundung
Born October 7th, 1990 181cm Libra Blood Type A

On a day of gravure photography, because it was a slightly cold, during this interview Chundung did not stop coughing. And yet, he did not show a painful expression even once, he got through it with a smile. The individual photography shoots started from Chundung, but when the others were having their turn he did not leisurely rest, he stood off in the corner gazing at the photo shooting, which was impressive. His nickname is ‘MBLAQ’s idea bank’. The last part of ‘Y”s choreography was his idea. ‘At the beginning, when I proposed choreography to everyone, I was ignored (laugh). That was a problem for me. Before I had organized my thoughts, because I tried talking a lot, I couldn’t really convey it to anyone. On the contrary, it is hard to understand me.’ Chundung is thoroughly modest.

Joon
Born February 7th, 1988 180cm Aquarius Blood Type A

In the movie Ninja Assassin starring Rain, acting as the younger Rain, Joon soon made a Hollywood debut. Even as an actor, he does it while in the midst of his group activities.
Last year he starred in the drama ‘Jungle Fish 2′. This year he is busy doing things like starring in K.Will’s ‘My Heart is Beating’ MV with IU and doing his first try at voice acting in the 3D animation ‘Gnomeo and Juliet’ with T-ara’s Ji-yeon that comes out on April 14th. ‘Sometime, I want to try acting as the main character in an action film. For that reason, I think I want to attend an action school to progress in my ability.’ Even though he is known as a person who has a hard time mastering complex gadgets, he conquered the computer it seems, and during the wait time at the photoshoot, he was mainly in front of the computer, checking the fansite and leaving comments on fan postings.
