Go Away was more appreciated in korea (was there during their promo) then Can't Nobody and after came Clap Your Hands... for me, it was the perfect contrary: CYH, CN, GA. Korea/Japan's tastes?
japanese people listen to kpop for what it is and they like it. that's why i don't see why you have to change your style to please them. you may not gain the favor of everybody in japan, but at leats aaaall the kpop fans.
Wow, I didn't know CL spoke fluent Japanese. But from what I experienced, it's really hard to rap in Japanese if you're not fluent in the language. Korean/Chinese is actually much easier to rap. I don't know why.
you would be surprised. my brother went to an international school in egypt for four years and continues to speak very decent arabic, on top of portuguese and spanish. most kids that attend international schools study the language of their host country, it generally makes things easier.
She didn't claim so though? People just said she sounded like a native speaker during that kpop concert they participated in japan. And people just assumed that she was fluent because she stated in her profile that she's lived in japan I guess.
She was suppose to be an MC for their music station debut but obviously that didn't happen. She lived in Japan for years when she was younger but you know what happens when you stop using a language, you tend to forget it. From the times it's been spoken to her, she understood it. She even translated what was being said to her for us in 2NE1TV. But I think she has trouble speaking it. She just needs to study/refresh and she'll be fine.
It's nice to hear that CL's part is in english :) I say it all the time, but i really hate japanese in pop songs. And rapping in japanese well.. no lol.
I know them. And i still hate this language. I find it pretty ugly, i only tolerate it in some rock songs, and the ways new tv reporters speak. I'm a japanese major though i stil lfind this UGLY.
Sang i can't bear it. Sometimes when talked it's okay. But it has to be a man. Women talking japanese hurt my ears (99% of them). I'm like in the wrong class lol nobody understand me i should give you my place.
Because you don't get my choice means i'm dumb? How classy. For the story in the past i liked japanese, but studying it annoyed me. Still, i'm a person who finished what she started. I'm not bad, i really like writing/text comprehension and sociology. So i'll got my diploma and jump in another boat in two years. Because, yes, in france, having a diploma from a university doesn't mean ANYTHING. We mostly study there because: it's cheap, it leaves you time to reflect and to save money for a good school... etc. Ask many of japanese students why they are studying it: they have no future plans and just enjoy mangas and anime.
I didn't know that, first, taste/opinion = stuipdity, and secondly, that you have to study what you're dying for. I like writing and reading japanese, finding it ugly when spoken is a different thing.
ooh, i didnt know that. last thing i heard was the albums were sent to the stores before the earthquake, their company couldn't retrieve it back so they just released it on the said debut date. i didn't know that the album was an all korean one. D:
Haha not every international fan is on omona. And I think we can safely say that the common ground btwn iblackjacks and kblackjacks is that we both lazy fans lol
It's ok, but this wasn't one of my favorites from the album anyway.
Their overseas activities have been completely sideswiped by the disaster. Being the Mezamashi theme is a good boost but are they even in Japan to promote the song?
I hope these girls get either a fresh or better start soon.
Even if she was fluent in japanese I love CL but she went to international school so maybe she's conversational in Japanese but anyways rapping in Japanese is a pretty hard thing to do.I don't hold it against her at all,B2st's Jun Hyung who I adore kept the rap in Korean for Japanese shock and they are doing well.
