pardon me, as in i meant, do u mean what you said for real? or are u just...trolling. cos i think what happened to japan was tragic and i simply cannot take anyone joking about japan or their earthquake. If u really meant it, then im truly sorry about that >< *huggs.

Im really sorry about that then! Its just that i read some really silly comments about japan which pissed me off pretty much. O dear, the situation sounds bad. I've been keeping tab on japan's news actually, esp about the nuclear reactors and praying hard that its fine. Just that its hell week in school now so im lagging a little. The last i read from bloomberg they said the radiation levels was safe, below danger levels. But things change so rapidly in japan...so my bad. Im lousy at consoling people, but i hope everything turns out fine for u guys over at japan soon! *huggs.

i prob would have reacted worse to that silly comment that i made earlier, if i were in your shoes, being in japan itself, facing a water shortage and worrying about radiation levels etc, so its fine! Are you schooling over there? How're things at japan, actually? Reading bloomberg, bbc etc doesnt really say much about whats happening on the ground in reality... But i really salute the japanese for being so calm and all. over in my country, people wld have freaked out way earlier. esp the nameless fukushima 50. they are so stoic and selfless ;; it almost seems surreal.. i've so much respect for them, for doing things i will prob never be able to do in my life. im sure these guys will keep the radiation in check soon, so just hang in there!

do u still go to school or work as per normal with all these blackouts etc?? its important to get on with normal life, but i think its really hard under such circumstances. i dun think i can concentrate in school etc if im terribly thirsty (and knowing i cant run to a water cooler any time soon =/)...And i think i get what u mean, i read about some comment in a news report, that people are nervous but dare not voice out in case everyone else freaks out and theres a panic. Props to the japanese for being so calm. Yesss, japan's always in our thoughts and prayers, so fighting girl (or guy?) ! :))

it's great to see how supportive nearly everyone has been, despite the fact that japan is such a wealthy country.

I'm glad that artists are trying to encourage their citizens to still keep on thinking and donating for Japan.

PS: Is it wrong for me to like these idols speaking in English here? I feel bad because I feel that I'm flailing at a very wrong time X_X

So nice of them.

Key's English seems so awkward 'cause he was probably reading from something. He would've come off so much more fluent if they just let him speak on his own.

Wooyoung's hair. :(

Key's english is already semi-awkward to start with lol. He generally has a good pronunciation but his accent comes out regularly and he still mispronounces some words. (Example: about Amber - "you're a leez-zahr" lmao. She had to made him repeat several, then thought he said "bizarre" before finally understanding that he was actually trying to say "lizard" and correcting him. I can also remember a fancam from a while back of some tv game show where he was randomly asked by the MC to play translator between an an american contestant - he was studying in SK - and the k-celebs and Key just kept stuttering and forgetting his words lol.)

I'm thinking he had more or less planned what he said in the video but he was so concentrated on making sure it came out clear and correctly that it made him sound stiff and awkward.

I kinda wished Onew had also spoken in english. He sounds almost as good as Key when he does.

For some reason I feel like this is the first time I've heard Krystal speak English.

Anyway, this is nice of them to do. I hope you've already donated some of your time/money, omona!

Expected the English from SNSD but not the rest.

lol no. I mean yes there's Khun but since I don't watch many of their interviews etc so I can't predict who would speak in times like this.

lol khun and taec always speak english in videos to the international fandom XD

I didn't even know that Amber was there tbh. lol Though Krystal can speak English, I thought they would just speak Korean. Same with SNSD, if there's no Tiffany I wouldn't expect them to speak English even though Sica is fluent.

They spoke English because Japanese know more English than Korean. These are condolences aimed for the Japanese public and also hopes for aid to the Japanese... so... yeah. lol

Date: 2011-03-25 06:52 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] qrizta.livejournal.com
I knew it's directed to international public as an encouragement to donate besides sending condolences but they provide subs anyway for SJ. imo it's better spoken in English and idk y SJ didn't do so even when they have Siwon who could speak English. Oh Teuk, u mic-hogger.

Date: 2011-03-25 05:28 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] xsharetheworld.livejournal.com
They're all subbed in case you didn't notice. lol And I don't remember ShiWon ever being able to speak good English..? :/

Date: 2011-03-26 10:35 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] qrizta.livejournal.com
I noticed the subs in all vids but SJ is the only one needing it imo.lol
I remember seeing Siwon spoke English and since their lines are quite scripted ,he can definitely pull it off if Key could do it as well.

Eeteuk sound so much more eloquent in Korean than all of the English-speaking idols >_>

Great to see them all offering support and using their popularity for a good cause. Hope Japan recovers quickly~
