The SBS drama "49 Days" is facing a plagiarsm controversy.

The drama "49 Days" first episode was air on the 16th however, the content of the drama did not showcase well.

Nam YuRi, Lee YoWeon, Cho HyeonJae, are among the leading cast for the drama "49 Days of Grace" in the scene the lead actress who is about to get married has a car accident that leaves her in a coma. She is given a second chance at life but it comes with a condition: she has to find three people outside of her family who would cry genuine tears for her.

In 2003 a Shinhwa fan fic was published, when the first episode of "49 Days of Grace" was broadcasted it showed content.

In "49 Days of Grace" also the trip prior to the accident is also in question, the way she ends up in coma, even when the brother recognizes the reincarnation, are the two in question.

In both works both characters as in "49 Days of Grace" with Ji Hyeon (Nam Gyu Ri) and Han Gang (Cho Hyeon Jae) are in a similar love story line, reason why a plagiarism controversy has been heightened.

A representative from the publisher told the media, "Although is similar material it is not concidered plagiarism, it is ridiculous that a drama thats been dramatized for the first time is being accused of plagiarism, there is no grounds in this accusation".

I can barely understand this article. Until something better translated comes along, I'll have a hard time believing this.

The show's first two episodes were a little boring anyway. I'm hoping it will pick up, given that the writer has done two dramas that I've enjoyed a lot. :/

If it's a fanfic, it's not published. Can you really sue for plagiarism when it's just something you posted on a website somewhere? (I legit know next to nothing about those kinds of laws). If so, I have a shit-ton of dramas to sue because I wrote stories when I was in like, 7th grade and the dramas copied them >:O hahhah.

Theoretically, everything you post on the internet belongs to you, provided it's 100% your content (or 80% transformed, I think). Of course, I'll wager it'll be a bit hard to prove that some drama writer read a Shinhwa fic from eons ago... unless they were a fan.
