I like that Jiyoung wrote in Japanese. She is adorable. Though she forgot a "ん" in her "みんなさん" lol.

Anyway, KARA seem so so genuinely appreciative of Japan, it's wonderful. Glad they are doing a lot.

yeah, i thought it was a nice gesture that she wrote in japanese. is she the resident japanese speaker in the group, or are they all on pretty even footing? i don't really keep up with kara's japanese promotions, as much as i like their music.

I think she learnt the quickest. She is the youngest, so it all makes sense
Gyuri and Seungyeon did speak the most during their first showcase.
But in the most recent japanese show they were on, Jiyoung sounded fluent.

Lol. There's no ん in みなさん. Only in みんな, so Jiyoung did write it correctly. It's really weird, I know.

Really? :O Maybe it's a regional thing? Before I learned the kanji for "minna" I wrote it みんなさん on all my papers and stuff and didn't get it marked wrong....or so I remember hahaha.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's a regional thing, haha.
You wouldn't write minna-san. Minna in itself is the more colloquial/slang-y version of mina-san, so either way, you wouldn't add -san to that.

If you try pronouncing Minna-san with the extra n, isn't it hard to say?

I can't help but compare her to other American K-idols like Tiffany, for example. Then again I guess SM has more English speakers than DSP so maybe she just doesn't have many opportunities to converse in English?

I think KMF last year was the first time she went back to America. So it was 4 years after she left for Korea? I'm pretty sure DSP doesn't have any other native english speaker... Seungyeon is okay with English but she isn't fluent. Apparently Nicole speaks Konglish to Tiffany.

I just know that Nicole works hard on her Korean. She learns Japanese from Korean instead of from English so that she can improve on both her Korean and Japanese at the same time. lol when I found that out... I was like no wonder your Japanese sucks so much, Nicole. Not to mention she speaks so fast, I don't think she thinks about what comes out of her mouth.
