Nickhun’s “girlfriend” gets attacked by 2PM fans

Don’t tell me you didn’t see this coming.

It looks like MC Mong’s girlfriend isn’t the only one getting hate these days. Kim Minseon, the girl who won in the Lottery of Love for being Nickhun’s girlfriend for a week is getting the mega hate from 2PM fans.
The poor girl’s mini-hompy has been flooded with messages asking Minseon to stay away from Nickhun. I mean come on, people! They were filming a frigin’ show. Give the girl some slack!
The show “MNet scandal” is getting really popular these days and the “relationship” between Khun and Minseon is hot topic among netizens. Not surprising since in K-pop culture, idols are not supposed to have girlfriends and Khun is doing a pretty awesome job at not hiding his.

 

This is not the first time we’ve seen a hapless woman getting attacked for being in a make believe relationship with an idol. Remember Hwangbo circa “We Got Married” days? (Shilang and Buin 4Ever!). As with Minseon’s situation, fans of SS501 asked Hwangbo to refrain from getting close with their leader Hyunjoong which made their relationship extremely awkward. What really pleases me though with the Khun-Seon couple is that Nickhun seems really comfortable with Minseon. This could be scripted for all we know. Still, it was cool to see that there’s an idol out there who doesn’t give a damn about the “no girlfriend” rule.

So for fans just chill, okay. It’s not the end of the world if your fave idol happens to have a girlfriend. Let them hook up with anyone, whether it’s a civillian or a fellow artist. They also need a life. Give that to them.

I think this whole "Korean idols shouldn't have grilfriends" thing is really stupid. I mean, come on, they are there to play music and dance and whatnot, and that's the only thing the fans should be allowed to demand from them. They're musicians, not Eunhyuk eunuchs or anything. LOL Of course you can be jealous of your idols' girlfriends/wives/etc, but that's as far as it should go. 8D Attacking them, verbally or physically, is something I can't quite comprehend.

I don't think most fans think their idols are gay.
If idols are shown having intimate moments with members of the same sex, they call it fanservice. They also make up other excuses, such as "it's just brotherly/sisterly love" or "it's for their performance" etc.

But IA. Fans should know their place. If they truly love their idols, they should support them regardless of the person their idols are dating.

I hate this idea of 'ownership' that seems to have escalated amongst idol fans. Yes, fine, you like their music and how they dance, and their actings and their personalities, i'm sure you very much so enjoy supporting them by buying their merchandise and such. But that doesn't mean they owe you anything, you don't have to buy any of their products, you do it on your own.

And frankly, if you genuinely like that specific idol, then why is it so hard to just be happy for their sake? Not trying to sound all cliché here, but i mean, how is it so hard to just be like 'Oh he's dating someone? i hope he's happy :)'

honestly I don't like this girl - not because she is dating Nickhun (I couldn't care less), but I was watching the first episode and he was asking her who he dated, and she mentioned one boyfriend and he was like "a celebrity?" and she didn't answer.
