Suzy sheds tears over her acting criticisms

During the “Dream High Special Concert,” miss A’s Suzy shed tears due to the heavy dose of criticism for her acting during the beginning of the drama.

She revealed her true feelings for the drama and after watching her NG scenes, she suddenly burst into tears.

At MC Park Kyung Lim’s surprise over her sudden tears, she said, “I lacked so much,” and couldn’t go on. After the MC comforted her by saying, “I bet you were heartbroken,” she could only say, “I still have a lot of mixed feelings.”

After viewing the behind-the-scenes clips, Suzy still couldn’t hide her feelings back. When asked the question, “When did you have the most trouble?” she answered, “When I was frustrated at myself,” then turned her face away from the cameras.


poor bb, in the end of the day she is just a kid. also in the special she seemed to be embarrassed for crying in front of the public.

I thought she did a great job as Hyemi. If anyone should have gotten acting critisism it should have been Taecyeon.

His character really lacked delivering emotion, when it was supposed to be there. Suzy's character was cold on the outside she managed to show Hyemi's inner turmoils really well.

poor little bb. she improved so much as it went on, though, and i dont think she was that bad in the beginning either. her character was even bad at expressing herself, so how else was she supposed to play her? i hope to see her in another drama someday, though. i really loved her character by the end of the show. (about to watch the last episode right now and i am SO SAD i never wanted it to end ;~;)

Suzy's acting improved throughout the drama and it showed, it wasn't terrible for a first attempt. I can understand why she feels frustrated, poor bb especialy since there are other actor/idols *coughwooyoungcough* on the show who did worse than her.

aww, poor suzy. her acting wasnt THAT bad in the beginning...some parts just seemed really fake. but towards the end, she did improve a great deal. i still loved her acting <3 I still can't believe she's just 10 days older than me -_-

suzy actually takes criticism really well and directs it for her won improvement, especially for her age, she was just emotional over the fact that the crew and the fans had awarded her with something and she said she felt like she didn't deserve it. (for what i could understand without subs)

I didn't think she was as bad as people are making her out to be. Maybe it's the language barrier, but I felt like her bad acting in the beginning fit her character. I didn't think she was terrible by the end of the of the series.

i think she did a good job, for her first drama no less. hye mi's character was supposed to be cold/lacking emotion and she hit the nail on the head. suzy is usually a shy person, not emotionless like hye mi.

I will stan 2PM forever but TaecWoo were definitely the worst actors of the bunch lol. Suzy's acting in everything besides the Japan episode was lovely.

Although she wasn't my favorite character in Dream High and she did have a bit of a rocky start, she did improve. I hope she doesn't get too hard on herself and uses the criticisms to propel her forward to be a good actress.

i have nothing against suzy but i feel like this whole criticism cycle is a victim of its own creation because had the production company decided to cast an actual actor for hyemi's part, suzy wouldn't have ended up being criticized. hell, i think they should've cast non-idols for the entire production, but with jyp helming this, what could ya do.

I agree for most dramas, but since DH was always an fame-like concept, it naturally leaned towards idol casting, since it would have been hard to find a whole cast of musically trained actors, in the same age range, with built-in fan bases to boot. But for a lot of more serious dramas, I typically cringe at idol casting.
