i loved this, but i also loved "oh"--just not the ridiculous concept that went along with it. "hoot" is just so in the wrong direction, imho.

The harmonies in this version aren't really good. The official song is a lot more polished.

i think the harmonies are like that in the finished song but the backing track is more beefed up so it's not as jarring. the accompaniment to this feels like it's missing a few layers, and i think those layers buffer that dissonance in the harmonies.

totally gave me the wig when i first heard it, though.
