Jay Apologizes......?

Singer Jay Park recently made his first official public apology towards his previous agency and group, JYP Entertainment and 2PM.

On February 17th, the singer uploaded his apology onto his official fan cafe, expressing his remorse for disappointing J.Y Park and causing unnecessary and undeserved distress and suffering to the 2PM members.

Is everyone healthy and doing well?

Now that the weather is getting warmer day by day, I feel that the year has only finally started now.

As I’ve been so preoccupied with preparing new albums, these days I think I’ve been indifferent to the weather, date, and time.

It feels like it was the new year just the other day, but we’re already reaching the last days of February.

It’s not long until I get to meet everyone again either.

That’s why I’ve suddenly had a lot of different thoughts.

I really want to focus on everything with a new mind, and I want to show a new Park Jaebum to the family and fans I love, and to the people who have helped me a lot.

Also, in order for me to fly higher, I also felt that I needed to become a stronger and more mature self regarding past days, which is what I wanted to talk about today.

While I was still active as a 2PM member, there was a time when I disappointed a lot of Korean citizens with my mistakes.

Also, even now I still feel apologetic for disappointing JYP Entertainment’s Park Jin Young PD, who helped raise me both physically and spiritually.

My other mistake was that when I withdrew from 2PM, the members I suffered with together, lived and had fun with together, received undeserved distress from the huge aftermath. I am so sorry to the point where there is nothing I could say to them.

In order to succeed over my past mistakes and faults, I have been working hard with a new agency, and I am doing my best in my activities with new resolutions.

I hope for a lot of your support, and I will meet you all once again with a new album and newer image. Thank you.

if jay fucked up, he should shut up, we've all moved on, basically, ad frankly no one cares. if he didn't, he should still shut up, because we're all forgetting about it and this isn't going to bring him the kind of attention he really wants in the face of his upcoming releases.

I honestly don't think he needs to apologise any more, but there is the offical nature of this. Hopefully JYPe can acknowledge this and everyone can continue to move on. That and I love them, am selfish and miss this even though it's not going to happen.

By now I feel a disconnet with this. What exactly is he apologizing for anyway? Distress was cause but I mean, how can we even know if he needs to apologize when a huge part of the public side of this issue is still based around hearsay and baseless theories. Everyone made a lot of assumptions in 2009/2010 and will be making assumptions again (mostly with the JYP part, I presume) with this message because the situation has never been clear and it still isn't.

I don't want to be cynical but yeah, it's less impactful if you wait to do these things when you're about to release something. I like that he's upfront about it though. The timing is convenient since he's about to release an album but he actually mentions that in the message, so it's not like he's trying to disguise it either. This is how this business work (with varied degrees of subtlety) and a public apology is about making unrelated people pay attention anyway, so I don't think anyone should get too hung up on this detail.

I'm sorry if this makes me a horrible person but I am really really curious about what he did. There's no denying that he did something, now the only question is what. I still say he slept with Lady JYP but it was a mistake like what happened with JD and Jordan, they had a steamy affair that lasted about a month. Then she went oh by the way I;m Lady JYP. Jay went noooooooooooooooooooooo and tried to leave her. Now deprived of the fresh young lovin' Lady JYP decides that she can no longer live with JYP and files for a divorce. When he was trying to woo her back she accidentally let it slip that their must be something in the Seattle water that keeps the men young and fresh. Not being as dumb as she thinks JYP immediately connects this to 2PM and confronts the American boys. Jay sobbingly admits that he was the one in the affair with Lady JYP but he didn't know who she was she never told him. Knowing how his wife is JYP believes him but is no longer bff's with Jay he begins to put JunSu in front all the time and lets him actually sing. Jay feels so guilty he decided to leave 2PM. All the members can't even say no because how do you sleep with your bosses wife. And after Jay has had secondhand lovin' with JYP they are all rightfully disgusted. Anyhow Jay leaves and he can never tell anyone that he was the reason JYP is now forever alone, and can't even blame him for wanting everyone to disassociate with him.

It's been so long since then, time really does fly. NGL I miss the boys as 7 and even though I did follow the whole issue, I'm still confused as to what happened. One thing I definitely do believe though is that neither Jay nor 2PM deserved the backlash they received.

I never understood how people could choose a side in this issue though, I mean I can't be mad at 2pm because I don't know what Jay did.. and I can't be mad at Jay because wel... I don't know what he did xD so he can make an apology but please tell us what he needs to apologize for....
