After two years of hiatus, BIGBANG will comeback with a 'mini album'.On 14th (today) YGE has released the teaser image of their new album on the official website with the comeback date stated as '2011.02.24' and the phrase '4TH MINI ALBUM RELEASE' .

BIGBANG will make their comeback with a 'mini album'. After two years, why they comeback only with a minialbum ? It is because they will incresase their frequency of producing albums this year and they will keep meeting their fans instead of only promoting for a short period of time.

In an interview that G-Dragon did earlier, he said, "after we come back from Japan, we are planning to make one more album." The teaser image shows the words 'BIG BANG' in the mouth of a skull with star-shaped eyes and the skull is also wearing a pair of headphone. It has stirred up the attention of the fans.

At a night of last week, BIGBANG flew to US to film their music video.
BIGBANG's BIGSHOW will be held from 25th to 27th at Seoul Olympic Stadium. Unlike other idol groups, BIGBANG will not comeback on TV channels but in their concerts which they can meet their fans because they want to focus on the quality of their concerts and performances.

Even if the plans will most likely change I don't doubt another Korean BB release will come since it's clear they have material done for a full album and decided to divide it like that. It also means the 2011 concert will have a lot of the oldies, I'm ok with that too.

Besides the obvious capitalization maybe they want to test the waters with this release first to see what will work best, don't want to have tracks being overlooked, etc. I've never really had qualms with the mini-albums system, I'd rather have it like that than artists releasing a bunch of singles and then dropping a full album that's composed of all of those same songs. The spacing out makes sense in the end, what sucks is that they have talked about a full album for a while now but we'll all live. It's something that should be avoided though, it's not ideal in any sort of business to have a noticeable gap like this between pre-release talks and the actual announcement/product.

The process from irritation to joy very intriguing.
When there's a news about BB releasing something, 90% of fans say they're disappointed, they don't believe it, etc. But how great are their joy when the final product is here... Look at how proud they are to be fans of a group that have multiples talents, create good music, and enjoy their passion, how they aren't slaves...

I think that sucks YGE communicates fake hopes, like, really. But since i am never disappointed with the result, it's worth the waiting. Because it's not as if we didn't saw them for years after all :/

Moreover, YGE communication fails, but what if it was BB themselves who want to re-work the stuff to be perfect and as THEY expected to be? I don't think YG is the only one to be blamed...

Maybe I'm a very positive person, but none of YG news about BB disappointed me.

When they said that they needed time I just realised that they are artists and artistic inspiration doesn't comply to the time. And I could wait because, despite I really love Big Bang, we have great music everywhere in this world.

And now that they finally are back I am happy, just happy. It's a mini-album? C'mon, of course I'm glad, they have the best mini-albums ever! ^^

I'm a little disappointed because I remember GD saying something like them have 17 songs so far. I would rather have a giant ass album than a bunch of mini albums/1 mini album + 1 full album. ughh w/e, i have my other fandoms to keep me company while i wait

MINI, FULL ... idc - as long as we get an album with new songs. the boys have worked extremely hard during their so-called break from KPOP scene (they've done acting, release solo albums, variety shows, promotions in Japan - so really, it's not like they disappear into thin air). i think we should really appreciate this.

& KPOP fans have been too pampered. especially since comeback literally means 1month after ending promotions & promoting at least 3-4 albums within a year just to please the fans. there's no doubt YG will postpone this so-called follow-up album, but know what? who cares - because we know it'll be damn good once it's out!

if you can't roll with the way YG works, then you're fine to grumble & complain & start a fuss - because so far, YG had done nothing to really follow EVERY single thing the fans demand. & i respect him & his artistes for staying true to what THEY really want.

do you guys prefer bigbang over the solo activities? curious. should yg have just made big bang come back, put all of gdtop & seungri solos into one "big bang" album and it'll be fine?

it's not like they've been gone completely for 2 yrs. in december we got 10 new gdtop songs, in jan we had 7 new sr songs. now we'll get at least 6 more.

but by having a 4th mini album now, i am just expecting another one later this year, mini or full. if not, then i'll be annoyed at yg.

i like both, tbh. BB as a whole was the thing that pulled me into the fandom again (the only KPOP groups i knew were Shinhwa & Baby VOX then but it wasn't so cray cray) but individually, i was surprised that each of them can really produce something amazing that's distinct in their own way.

read my comment in the previous page - idc if it's full or mini or if YG's gonna delay the album. i think KPOP fans should learn to be patient & more grateful, & to appreciate good quality music instead of constantly demanding. ;)
