Could H.O.T be able to reunite once more?
Last year, former member Kangta revealed that there may be a possibility of a “H.O.T reunion”.
He had stated, “We are always together as 5 members. I hope that we can perform again. Currently, Lee Jae Won is serving in the military and will finish next year. When he is finished with his services, we will talk and plan our reunion.”
Another member, Tony An, had also mentioned possibilities of a reunion during an interview from September 2010. “We had talked about a H.O.T reunion before. I had performed with Lee Jae Won once when we were both in the military. First off, I wish for the members who are currently in the military to safely finish their services. Afterwards, all the members will need to meet together and talk about it.”
Tony further elaborated on the chance in a different interview. “A few days ago, I met with Kangta and Moon Hee Jun to have some drinks together. Next week, I will meet with Jang Woo Hyuk, who is currently promoting his activities in China.”
So while the members themselves seem interested in coming back, the question is, would they be able to?
One music industry representative had stated, “After they were discharged from their military services, the H.O.T members had remarked on the possibility of a reunion. However, because there are many obstacles, the topic has been pushed back indefinitely. It even seems as though a reunion may not be possible.”
When pressed for the reason, the representative continued, “The members all have different schedules and different entertainment agencies. It will not be easy to balance the contracts between the different companies.”
However, don’t let your hopes get dashed! With Lee Jae Won returning in March, the possibility still remains open, depending on his decision.
