This was the advice that Bigbang’s member Seungri heard from Mun Hee Jun, the ex member of HOT, and Son Ho Young, the ex member of GOD.

Mun Hee Jun and Son Ho Young have gotten through the disappointment of not being able to continue their activities with their past group that used to have very big popularity, and now they’re giving Seungri advice to make him realize Bigbang’s values. Not only that, the concern of disbanding that might happen to Kara because of their contract issues with the company can be an example too.

Seungri is interviewed by SPN on last January 14th in the filming set of his new solo album’s title song MV, VVIP.

Seungri said that after he got out from MBC Happy Sunday ‘Enjoy Today’ on October last year, he started the preparation for his solo album and Bigbang’s album, and when he got the time he’ll meet with his seniors to receive advice about entertainment activities.

Seungri told us that “The seniors said, ‘although we want to go back to that place again but we can’t’”. Mun Hee Jun and Son Ho Young are now over 30 years old. Their words perhaps mean that now they’re too old to do singing while dancing just like what they’ve done before in their group. But practically it can also mean that it’s impossible for disbanded group to reuniting again and doing activities together.

Seungri also said that his sunbaes told him that ‘you can’t stay in the same place like where you are now forever’. It contains a message that after years passed Bigbang’s popularity will also change and this team won’t last forever, so you should focus in your present activities now as Bigbang.

Seungri explained the reason why he wants to meet them, “I want to be a more mature man, so I seek the seniors to hear their advices,” he said.

ahem, but on a serious note, i think that's one of the most important things for a famous idol group. once they've got a firm fanbase and acceptance by the general public, there's obviously a greed to go solo. but as the guys in shinhwa said recently, you've always got to put the interests of the group above your own, or you'll never make it.

The OP has linked back to the orig hangul and the site that has the trans they got this from does not list bigbangvip.net as the source. So how are we supposed to know?

how am I being petty? this happened to me the other time too. I thought bbvip.net was the actual address and it took me to a weird Chinese site which I knew wasn't right and then I found out that address is just short for bigbangvip.net. I was only telling her in case she wanted to know, not so that she would change it or to tell her she was wrong as I could care less.

Why didn't I say what? I couldn't have been any clearer in my comment. It would have been rude of me if like other people I would have straight out told her "your source is wrong, change it". It was a friendly tip whether she wanted to know or not, I don't see how it's petty honestly.

I do know and the author doesn't know because she said "Chinese site" and I knew what she meant because like I said it happened to me before and if she ever wanted to visit the actual site because it's a Big Bang forum and she's a Big Bang fan, it'd be helpful. The own author doesn't have a problem with it, I don't see why you're taking this the wrong way and making it seem like something terrible. If directing her to the right website isn't helpful I don't know what is then.

Directing someone to the right place isn't a problem, you gave no context in your comment. You can't infer that you've already been through this from what you first said. With what you originally said it sounds like maybe you are a member of that forum so you knew where it came from, it doesn't tell me that you went down that road before when researching the source. What you said doesn't say much at all about your intentions and that is the point I'm trying to make. Helpful comments are awesome but this one came across as petty and not helpful.

I shouldn't have to explain myself or my past experiences to give a tip or for someone to understand that it was a tip. My intentions were to give help and I did, in giving her the correct site and letting her know that if she wanted to see a post she would have to join as a member. Maybe that doesn't help you but it wasn't directed to you anyway and regardless of the way you took it it was help at the end of the day. It's really not my problem if you just assume people are trying to be petty and rude simply because they point out something from the source.
