Coin Jackson, Korea’s upcoming girl group, has released an official photo in anticipation of their debut.

The girls will deliver music that’s been described as ‘hip hop a capella’. It’s a genre that many are not familiar with, and so the hype for the group is already quite high – the photo released today has only heightened interest, since Coin Jackson appears to be different from the typical ‘cutesy’ girl group.

In this photo, they look like they’re going for a tougher, sassier look, as seen by their black leather outfits.

Their company, PPP Entertainment said, “Though they haven’t debuted yet, they’ve received a game CF offer, as well as love calls from Japan and China. Their debut track ‘Feedback‘ will showcase their powerful voices, and their performance will be nothing short of energetic.”

The group will debut in the beginning of February.


Named ‘Coin Jackson‘, member Jihoo will first be introduced to the public on December 24th by performing the national anthem at a professional basketball game in the Seoul Student Athletics Stadium. Jihoo was acknowledged by December for her ‘7 level high notes’, and was recently nicknamed the ‘tall Jang Nara‘ for her cute looks. She also has plenty of experience sweeping awards at teen music festivals as well.	Hip hop a capella girl group Coin Jackson has revealed their leader, Mari, before their upcoming debut. Mari, who’s known for her tall figure, has experience in the musical industry, and has acted in musicals such as “One Summer Night.” Currently a broadcasting entertainment major at Dong Deok Women’s University, she auditioned for PPP Entertainment and was admitted out of hundreds of contestants.	Upcoming hip hop a capella girl group, Coin Jackson, has been revealing their members one by one in anticipation of their debut, and they’ve finally revealed their maknae today. Wooyoo, the 20-year-old maknae, has been nicknamed ‘bagel girl’ (baby face + glamorous body) by her fellow members. Coin Jackson’s agency commented, “Wooyoo has a four-dimensional personality, so she’ll be making her name known through entertainment and game variety shows after the group’s debut.”	As with all great idol groups, there is always one who is known for their dancing capabilities. Coin Jackson is certainly of no exception. Kora, the fourth member, is said to have the best dancing skills amongst her groupmates. In fact, it was reported that during her trainee days at PPP Entertainment, she had the most outstanding dancing skills, which landed her a spot in Coin Jackson. And while Kora has the image of an innocent, feminine girl, her image is said to take an 180 degree turn when she starts dancing. So, there you go kids–don’t judge a book by its cover!	Eunbit is a former beauty model who’s already gotten her face known in the industry through various CF appearances and fashion magazines. But there’s a woman of steel behind her pretty face – Eunbit is also a ‘third level’ in Tae Kwon Do and a ‘first level’ in Hapkido. She’s an avid fan of martial arts, which she jokingly said she’d use to protect her other Coin Jackson members.	Despite her innocent looks, Maxi is a passionate enthusiast of hip hop dance. The sixth member had her roots in the entertainment industry as an actress, and she’s known for her extensive experience in a variety of dramas. PPP Entertainment claimed that her beautiful and innocent charms were what caught their attention. Maxi’s decided to shed her graceful image as an actress to reinvent herself as the sexy and bold sixth member of Coin Jackson.
