Co-Ed’s Soomi reveals photos from her flight attendant trainee days

Did you know that Co-Ed’s Soomi was training to be a flight attendant before she debuted? Neither did we.

On January 11th, she tweeted, “I found my pictures from when I was studying to become a flight attendant. It feels refreshing looking at it now, but the past is just the past.”

Fans expressed their surprise over her dramatic image transformation, and praised her elegant looks in the three photos. Fans later found out that Soomi was actually an aviation major at the Korea Aerospace University before her debut as a singer through SeeYa.

Korean Air flight attendants are so elegant. Every time I fly Korean Air I feel like such a slob in my yoga pants and hoodies next to them.

to be a flight attendant in SK do you have to be pretty? All the pics I've seen of them they have. Or maybe people only take pics of pretty ones. It's just I was thinking of some airline in india that fired some lady over her looks or maybe it was skin tone.

I think Korean Air works similar to Singapore Air - stringent height, weight restrictions, several regulations, and yes, they have to be pretty and young.

It's a little weird to hear her say that she's an aviation major and then worked as a flight attendant and then was a trainee...
