In a recent interview with E Daily SPN, IU revealed that she has yet to have her first kiss! The 17 year old star shyly stated, "I've never had my first kiss, even a first love...I've never had one."
At the youthful age of 17, IU still lacks a great understanding when it comes to love but she honestly revealed, "I currently don't have a boyfriend. Due to my hectic schedule, I can barely attend school. Because of this, it's difficult to even meet up with my friends. To be honest, I've never been kissed and still have no idea what true love really is."
She confessed that she would love to be in a relationship but due to her hectic schedule, it just wasn't something realistic to deal with at the moment.
"When I was in middle school, I've confessed my feelings to someone before. But it wasn't love, to be honest it was just infatuation. To talk about love seems so distant and unfamiliar to me. And honestly I move houses and switch schools a lot, so there really isn't much time for me to meet any guys."
The interviewer then brought up 2PM's Wooyoung whom is currently acting side by side with IU for KBS 2TV’s idol drama, Dream High. In a past interview Wooyoung had stated, "I will try to fit in a kiss scene with IU." This statement caused an uproar between fans, wondering if a kiss between the two would really happen. To this IU responded, "Wooyoung was probably only joking. I'm scared that this might stir up a scandal and cause some misunderstandings, saddening fans."
To conclude the interview on happy note the young singer happily proclaimed, "For now, I'll be sure to work hard. Even though it's quite tiring, I know I can do it."
On another note, IU's fans were more than pleased to find a special New Year update on the singer's me2day. On January 11 she posted, "The New Year has passed so here's a picture of me with my mouth scrunched up in a hanbok ^__^!!"
