JOO's anxious comeback stage on Music Bank

JOO made her first comeback stage in two years with "Bad Guy" on KBS Music Bank. She has been doing well so far with her role in the idol-casted "Dream High" and her mini-album "Heartmade". "Bad Guy" has been doing well on charts and her vocals have definitely improved and matured since she volunteered to return to being a trainee.

The female solo singer started out well for her performance of "Bad Guy", but her vocals suddenly began to tremble halfway through the song. The tension and shakiness of her vocals attracted attention to the sad lyrics and harmony of the song. JOO may have been extremely nervous due to this being her first stage in two years.

Fans encouraged her despite seeing the disappointment in herself when JOO finished her performance. They noted that she was nervous and said "You'll do better next time!"

JOO will have her second comeback stage tonight on MBC Music Core.

it's funny, i didn't even think of nerves - i just assumed she had a strong emotional connection to the song, haha. either way, i think it just made me like her performance more. glad to see joo back again. =)
and gosh, this could just be the hyo fan in me, but i think they kind of look alike. or at least, joo and intw-era hyo.

I noticed it as well but (as everyone else has stated) the end result was still wonderful as it made it seem like she was REALLY into the song.

i thought it was not pleasant at all. it was more like she couldn't control her vibrato and pitch, so it sounded really off. she was visibly displeased with her issues and i think that worsened her problem. i don't know what the song was about, but that looked more like panic and disappointment rather than feeling the lyrics of a sad song.

Yeah, at first I thought it was the emotion of the song but afterward I realized that she was actually really distressed by some of the higher notes (particularly in the bridge). I think it's an ambitious song to begin with, though. She's going through a lot of vocal coaching so hopefully she continues to improve.

I noticed this too. Regardless though, she's made a lot of progress and I think that's also important.

As a fan, I recognize that she's a singer made vs. a singer born but she's really working hard, so props to her.
