Adam Couple Share Their Memories With Last Me2Day Update

Hello, this is the Adam couple. ^^ January 6th 2011, it's becoming 5 o'clock in the morning now. The Adam couple's WGM recording just ended..! We sincerely thank all the Adam fans who have been with us for 1 year and 3 months..we believe that we have come all the way until now because of the support and love. We sincerely thank you..^^

Please look forward to Gain & Jokwon's activities~^^ we sincerely thank you for posting so many cheerful messages on the Adam couple's me2day. We will also stop posting on the Adam couple's me2day so that it can remain as a memory for everyone .. ^^ Thank you. -Adam Couple-


We tried our best and treated each other with true feelings and there were many memories which we won't forget during the 1 year and 3 months. We believe that we got the support because everyone could see these true feelings. We are happy that we could be together with everyone in the Adam couple's memory and we want to thank you..^^ we wish you a happy new year 2011.

What were the reasons behind Ga-In’s withdrawal from “We Got Married”?

When it was announced that the ‘Adam Couple‘ from MBC’s ”We Got Married” was going to conclude its run on the show, many were puzzled over the reasons for the decision. It was recently revealed that Ga-In wanted to withdraw from “We Got Married” so that she could better focus on her other activities.

Ga-In is currently shooting for the daily sitcom, “All My Love“, which requires her to film 3-4 days a week. She’s also been working closely with the Brown Eyed Girls to prepare for their February comeback. Considering her obligations to “We Got Married”, Ga-In has been working in all three major areas of the entertainment industry – variety shows, acting, and music. Her schedule became so crammed, that her Christmas wish last year was “to be able to sleep more.”

But with “We Got Married” being her breakthrough role into the entertainment industry, her decision to leave the show was not an easy one to make. Ever since she joined the variety show with 2AM’s Jo Kwon in September of 2009, the couple has been receiving immense support from all viewers, not to mention experiencing individual boosts in popularity.

There’s a final component to her decision, however. Ga-In also felt the need to show a new image as an entertainer. The fact that the general public saw her as ‘Jo Kwon’s wife’ burdened her a little, and made her yearn for new ventures.

So when will Ga-In film her last episode with Jo Kwon?

A representative from the show stated, “We haven’t decided when they will film the last episode. We need to match with the flow of the program, so it doesn’t mean they will stop broadcasting from next week onwards. We are currently refining the details with the producers.”

Jo Kwon, a day before the separation he said, "Ga In exactly feels like my wife"

The longest-running couple of MBC "We Got Married", Jo Kwon and Ga In, ended their recording at the early morning of January 6. But just the day before both of them appeared in a sitcom and their dialogue caught people's attention.

MBC daily sitcom "All My Love" aired on January 5 showed the twins Geum Ji and Ok Yeob, played by Ga In and Jo Kwon, danced to Brown Eyed Girls' "Abracadabra" at a talent show.

In the episode the family was watching "Abracadabra" music video and then their mother, Park Mi Sun, pointed at Ga In and said, "But that girl in the middle is very similar to our Geum Ji." To that Jo Kwon said, "That's irritating. How can you compare her with Ga In? Ga In is sexy and pretty and nice."

Then he added, "Exactly feels like my wife" and vividly reminded people of WGM. Ga In said, "It's only the sharp eyeliner. I will be pretty too if I draw it like that." Then Jo Kwon said sharply, "I have seen Ga In's 'bare face', you know? Her 'bare face' is totally beautiful. You are nothing like her. Got it?"

And then six hours later these two recorded their last episode at MBC Radio "Shin Dong, Park Gyu Ri's Shim Shim Ta Pa". It is said that this couple, who began in September 2009 and became the longest-running couple in WGM, cried a lot during their last recording. After the recording ended Jo Kwon and Ga In personally announced their leaving the show through Twitter and Me2day.

Jo Kwon and Ga In each grabbed Best Male and Female Newcomer Award at MBC Entertainment Award on December 30 and they have received lots of love inside and outside the show. Ga In even showed off her affection in public by kissing Jo Kwon's picture at the award ceremony and made everybody feel envious.

Adam Couple's fans were shocked when they learned about the sudden news of the parting. They left comments such as, "Thank you for all these times. I will support you", "My tears keep coming", "Can't you just leave 'WGM' but still continue be active as Adam Couple?"

“We Got Married Season 2″‘s Jung Yoon Jung PD spoke to us on the phone and said: “The Adam Couple had schedules as a singer and a daily drama, and have found that having WGM as well is a little too much for their schedule. Although it is a pity since they are the longest-lasting couple and have received a lot of love from everyone over the past 1 year and 5 months, the production team first spoke about them leaving the show.”

Jung PD said, “Because singers’ schedules are staggered, although WGM’s recording time can be adjusted, after the shooting for “All My Love” started, changing the recording schedule was basically impossible. Some times, they need to come and film after 2-3 days without sleep. At this time, even while preparing props, we feel sorry towards them.” If it continues like this, it will only make the cast feel tired both mentally and physically.

Jung PD also said, “Although they are an imaginary couple, Adam Couple’s popularity is very high. There is no couple which last more than a year on WGM, seeing their each and every change in emotion is also very important. We are also very upset to have to let them go. They have also developed a lot of feelings towards WGM. But in the daily drama, Jo Kwon and Ga-in have many new sides which they want to show everyone. There will also be some sides in WGM which they will show everyone. Thus, they have left WGM.”

OP, you are good job. I love that pic of them in four colours. ♥ Some people are trying to make this into a conspiracy, but seriously, their schedules are ridiculous right now, something obviously had to give. ... Plus the shipping was getting a bit out of hand, imo - neither of them could do anything with a member of the opposite sex without a thousand people going "Oppa, Gain unnie is watching~"/"Kwonnie is going to be so jealous"/etc.

I see where you get "fakest couple" because they aren't like a romantic couple at all, and tbh the show is meant to depict how two celebrities would be if they were married (and marriage shows itself in different ways, I think), not necessarily in love.

I'm still really freaking upset by this, and when the last episode airs I'm going to need to go through a healing period. I feel like they aren't only breaking up with each other but breaking up with me as well. I'll get over it edventually though.

that was the most hilarious episode of AML i've seen so far.
Despite how good AML is, i think Adam couple's performance in WGM > AML, but that's just me and my impatience for sitcoms sometimes, in the moments that are too predictable.

It's sad, but I respect her decision to let go of something she loves when it's hurting her.
