People Often Compare SS501 with TVXQ
I don't think of anyone as my rival, but people see TVXQ sunbae, who are now at the highest position as our rivals. Of course, we feel good, feel honoured. Choi Siwon's Classmate
I attended the same school with Choi SiWon and was even his classmate. I was really close to him at that time. He had to go to China under his company’s orders, but he would call me. In the end, we both debuted at almost the same time. We always played together when we were trainees, but meeting him now feels so weird.

A lot of New Artists Debuting
I don't really know how to say this but a lot of strong, charming artists are debuting. Other artists start to feel stressed and work harder. I often look back to when I debuted to see the difference. Now, everytime we see younger artists, it brings comfort to us, it inspires us to work harder, thank you!

Eternal Rival?
I don't like seeing anyone as my rival. I don't go figuring out who's my rival and what I need to do to be better than them. Naturally, my biggest rival is myself. I think about surpassing myself, I don’t want to beat anyone but myself. So I don't see anyone as my rival. Moreover, we are a group, so we have to work together. Although having rivals is a good thing, but overemphasizing isn't. So don’t think about this too much.

okay, so if you put it this way:

you've trained so long to become a star, and you obviously want your talents to be well-showcased instead of being put aside as a project group or a minor talent.

different companies market their groups and artists in different ways.

obviously sm switches them up every few months with new releases, except for boa and csjh who have been in america and japan (and not in korea, but this doesn't particularly concern me tbh)

jyp focuses a lot on 2PM now; i'm not so sure about 2AM, but wonder girls has been sent off to america. as for his other talents like j-lim etc. (can't remember who, but yeah) they're not really being spotlighted or anything in particular at all.

yg is focusing a lot on 2NE1 and big bang is being shipped off to japan for the meantime. but it's really big bang that brings them the money and such, which is kind of stupid imo.

dsp... apparently doesn't market their artists that well? ss501 seems so under-the-radar to me, and i never even heard of them until i saw this japanese song of theirs. i think they might be focusing on kara though.

meh, i could also talk about the artists such as se7en who has been sent out of the way to america, and boa as well. jyp says that there's a time for these things, and that everyone else has been doing it wrong. but i'm doubt america's ready to accept all these asian artists out of nowhere. if anything, their own artists will have it better at language skill, and they'd probably have just as much a range of music, if not anything else. so basically it's like being sent out there to fade into non-existence? :|

I agree with you. Many a time, I wish SS501 is managed by SM Town. DSP is seriously not marketing them well. Just think about the screen time they have as a group and album promo is enough.
