The difference between 2NE1 and other girl groups is? ‘90% of the fans are female’

The group 2NE1 that has become a topic has been found out that the difference between other girl groups is?

The group 2NE1 that formed by CL, Park Bom, Sandara, Gong Min Ji mentioned with a smile on 20th during interviews and news: “Other girl groups seem like having more male fans, compared to male, our fans are mostly female”.

2NE1 had their official debut stage on 17th in SBS Inkigayo, “The first impression we had is that we don’t know whether our stage performance was too strong or what, those who came to our first broadcasting were 90% female, we are kinda surprised.” “We feel that it’s good to have reorganization from the female fans, we will work hard in the future to become the 2NE1 that is expected by the fans.”

Regarding the questions about the competition with SNSD, WG, Kara, 2NE1 answered with modesty “Other girl groups can digest their own part perfectly, they are the seniors that we respect”. They explained: “Compared to other girl groups, our music style is different, what we want to express is how we are enjoying, having fun when carrying out activities, this is our 2NE1’s style”. 2NE1, who has recently begun their activities with their debut song ‘Fire’, is the girl group that is created/trained by a famous local management company YG Ent. for 10 years time. With the main girl groups like SNSD, WG, Kara, as well as the upcoming debut group like 4minute, T-ara, the war will begin soon.

2NE1 answered with a smile: “WG, SNSD are our seniors, we still have a lot to learn from them, all we can do is work hard and try our best. We also want to learn from their strengths, we think that the term ‘competition’ is not that appropriate for us”.

2NE1, Gong Min Ji “Granny (Gong Ok Jin) reminds me to be humble always”

The youngest of a new 4-membered girl group 2NE1, Gong Min Ji (15) has received the support and encouragement from a Korean famous dancer, Ms. Gong Ok Jin (78). Gong Min Ji is the grandniece to Ms. Gong Ok Jin.

Gong Min Ji, together with 2NE1’s Park Bom, Sandara Park, and CL, was having interview with Money Today Star News on 20th evening. There, Gong Min Ji said “Granny (Ms. Gong Ok Jin) knew about the fact that I has debuted as a singer, she is very happy with that”.

Continued “Granny told me ‘you have to enjoy the stage, only then you can make the audiences truly enjoying it’.”, also “she advised me ‘must be humble always’”. Gong Min Ji continued “as a newly debut rookie, many advices from granny have gave me great encouragement”.

Gong Min Ji has been winning many awards in various dancing competitions since young, and has been expecting from the others. After having 5 years time as a trainee in YG Ent, she has officially debuted as the member of 2NE1 recently, and now bringing the ‘Fire’, a song with reggae-hiphop style, to meet with the fans.

I was hoping someone in 2ne1 would mention something about WOMEN POWER as well, cuz they have such a strong and not as girly presence. i don't really know much about the social constructs in korea, but was there ever like a women's lib movement or anything similar?

them being in asia where being a strong and independent woman isn't necessarily viewed as a good thing, i doubt they'd mention that.

I wouldn't advised it. Not yet at least.
Look at CSJH -_- or at After School on a smaller scale.

Minji awww!

what we want to express is how we are enjoying, having fun when carrying out activities, this is our 2NE1’s style”. I approve of this^. So take a deep breath and have some more fun on stage ladies.

i doubt music PDs care about that kind of stuff.

Because if that was the case then the girls shouldn't have walked down a flight of stairs while singing. or have dara and bom dancing with props. because lots of ppl have done that too.

i think shaun should run his own music program so we can watch girls dance amazing routines and then kick chairs for hours.

They wouldnt have even brought a chair near them if they didnt want that. The chair is such a 90's pop prop lol

it's cool to hear they have mostly girl fans. that should help them in the long run.

plus it's weird to hear really deep male voices yell shit out during performances. live performances of gee by snsd are always ruined by dudes yelling "gee gee gee gee baby baby baby."

i know she would have kicked it to the side, but in my head, i can only see a chair kick ending like this:

I gotta agree, it would've been "dope" if CL kicked her chair.

Korea needs balls, IMO.

i think its quite cool that most of their fans are girls. even though they're different from the likes of groups such as SNSD and Kara, i wasn't really expecting that.

but ugh, this shows that korean men still like their girls to be all cutesy and shit?

ikr. some of us refuse to blindly fallow a band and believe they are what we are told without them proving it to be true. I find it completely funny they had so many die hard fans before they even debuted.

oh definitely. haha. i think its because they don't exactly live up to all the hype. so... /:

oh you mean here? haha yeah i get what you mean.

i have learnt to not see them as a 'female big bang' as how YG has marketed them...so i actually kind of like them for who they are.

I think there's more 2NE1 hating on here than anything, haha. Sookyeong posted what netizens thought on her blog and they're pretty encouraging of them so far.

And if you watch their debut stage, all the people in the audience are girls, haha. Does anyone know what they're holding though? Are they BB-esque towels??

I thought they'd have girl fans cuz they don't seem to target ONLY the male fans. I can't tell you how uncomfortable it is watching SNSD, Kara, etc it's like idk.. those girl groups are like representing girls SHOULD be cutesy and stuff sorta like the image of school girls o_o

From what I see 2NE1 doesn't portray girls as that 'typical' image.. they just seem cool. /shrug

I don't know about netizens but I like 2NE1 because they're 2NE1 not because of Big Bang. I'm not a hardcore fan either.. I just think they're pretty cool for a girl group.
