Netizens worry for newsinger JoonSeo after ’suicide letter’

Newcomer duo group Blue Spring member JoonSeo has got netizens worried that he may attempt suicide.

He wrote on his minihompy at 6.27pm on 19th May a post titled “Please read for once”. The content to the post, “I have been living with my parents for 9 years. All these time I’ve been alone and thinking. In the end, I want to live without the worry for money.”

“Just money, 10 thousand, 100 thousand… To others they may not even know how much they’re playing for their alcohol, please for the last time think and help me.” And he left his bank account number.

He also talked about the life being an entertainer, “This is an occupation where you only show the glamness of it. I’m only happy when I’m on the stage. I may just be a product, but this is not what I want.”

“I’ve prepared to get into the entertainment market for 5 years, but all the benefits that I get is negative. I’ve live days when I only eat one bread for a day, and take the subway to practice. Living the same life everyday like this, I really hate it."

Netizens responded, “He must have it really tough to have come to this stage.” Many netizens also voiced their worries about the increasing number of suicide cases amongst entertainers.

Many of them left JoonSeo messages like “Please do not think scary thoughts”, “Please continue to keep in contact”, “Please do not think nasty thoughts”. His friends also left messages like “Please do not say all these strange things”, “We just talked the day before yesterday, why are you like this now?”.

JoonSeo is currently not contactable and his phone is turned off, and his company has got the police’s help to search for him. He has recently moved house and his company is not aware of his new address.

This...really bothered me, I guess. He really sounded like he was at the end of his rope...where the fuck it the netizen's crazy detective work now? Or their overwhelming generosity when it comes to their idols? He needed both of these.

Just noticing recently? This has been happening for a while now. :( People sound surprised at the growing number every time an artist commits suicide and then they ignore the topic until a new celebrity kills themselves and they rehash the "I'm so shocked at the growing number." The country needs less faux shock and more preventive help.

I must say I dont know him at all but that is just terrible.
Since the suicide rate is not only insanely high when it comes to celebs but also when it comes to "normal" people, korea needs to make a change or two in their system, really.
