The 'SHINee Mystery' that Gagwoman Park Jisun had mentioned during broadcast was answered by SHINee themselves.
Park Jisun went on the show SBS 'Ya Shim Man Man 2' on the 18th and "asked SHINee for their contact information. The members stopped for a second and said, 'We don't have cellphones.'" After she thought about it, she asked, 'Do you guys seriously not have cellphones?'" and laughed it out. The cast put red text on the screen, 'SHINee Mystery' Do they have one? Or no?
On the 19th, in an interview with Sports Khan, SHINee answered the question to the mystery brought up by Park Jisun very clearly. SHINee said, "At that time, all of our members 'really' did not have cellphones." The reason they paused for a moment before replying to her was because, "it was hard to simply say that we did not own cellphones."
SHINee also released their story about how they didn't have cellphones for a year since their debut as singers last May.
"Right before debut, the members made an unusual decision. We decided to focus on practicing to show good results as singers, and to do that, we got rid of our cellphones."
SHINee was one of the only groups to not have cellphones in SM Entertainment. There are no other artists in SM entertainment without a cellphone. Whenever SHINee was in an emergency, they used their manager's cellphone. The talk with Park Jisun about their cellphones was last October. After SHINee won many end of the year amateur awards, they slowly began to buy cellphones one by one. It wasn't until the end of January until all the members had cellphones.
SHINee mentioned that "Park Jisun noona always takes care of us, we also know that she enjoys our music," and, "we hope to meet her quickly to exchange various stories," and smiled brightly.
On the other hand, SHINee released their 2nd mini-album's title song 'Juliette' on the 18th and is busily working. At the same time their song was released, they gained the 1st place spot in many internet music charts. Their album is to be released on the 21st, and their comeback stage will be on KBS 'Music Bank' on the 22nd.
