LOL. Would it be a sin if I say I prefer the boys in Japan? In Korea, sure they're cool and hot and all. But I think I'm more attracted to the humane, passionate side of TVXQ.

Plus, they've achieved nearly everything possible in Korea while there's a lot of work left to do in Japan. This fact makes me one excited fangirl.

I kind of see where you're coming from. Their debut in Korea was kind of like an instant hit, while in Japan they were virtually nothings and had to pull all stops to get to where they are now. Not to forget, but it was them being in Japan that seemed to strengthen them more vocally, especially in Yunho's case. All the lip syncing they had done before coming to Japan was thrown to the curb.

And I also think Japan was the catalyst that made Jaejoong and Changmin open up more/be themselves on Korean TV; no more dull cold hearted pretty boy or shy maknae. I still swear Jaejoong sometimes looks happiest in Japan; he seems to kind of fit in better there.

Every year I get more excited on what they're going to achieve when they're in Japan. But in Korea, it's almost like a guaranteed success; even if they were to ever put out a shit album.

The only goals I have for them in Korea are: to be on more lulzy variety shows, get more recognition for ALL the members' importance in the band, and - most importantly - relax more.

Exactly. They're already institutions in Korea. They might dwindle a bit popularity-wise, but themselves as institutions would forever remain. That stigma will stay.

Japan was too crack for the boys not to open up. Plus I noticed going through hardships in Japan strengthened their member ai.

OH YES. For some reason, Jaejoong fits more in Japan. Plus the fashion fits him to a T. He himself did comment that he finds himself bringing his fashion in Japan to Korea since he likes it, but he avoids it since their Korean manager + Korean fangirls don't like it. XD

Individual recognition in Korea. So true. And yes, they should try opening up more.

i agree... the problem is, isn't the whole japanese thing losing them a lot of fans in Korea? people keep crossing over to Super Junior and Shinhwa. what i can't figure out is if the number of fans they're gaining makes up for those they're losing. or maybe the number of fans isn't the issue - could the international recognition be worth it? arghh it's incredibly frustrating to not be able to understand korean OR japanese!

But it happens to EVERY artist. You win some and you lose some. Even in real life too. To gain progress, some sacrifices had to be made.

Think of it this way, if they stayed in Korea, they wouldn't be as good in singing as they are now. With the recent influx of new boybands, their thunder will be shared with others anyway. If they stayed in Korea, we wouldn't be hoping things such as Music Station or Tokyo Dome for them. If they stayed in Korea, the hardships in Japan that have incredibly humbled and bonded the boys wouldn't gave happened.

People switching fandoms is sad, but based on my experience, it happens all the time. I'd rather think people switched over to Super Junior and Big Bang (with the latter having the most DBSK fans). Burt don't you think we should thank Japan in helping the boys to grow into improved individuals?

In Japan, they're still a work in progress. Had they stayed in Korea, they'd be too popular for their own good so the anticipation will easily wear out.I don't know, I like the adrenaline rush in Japan just waiting what the boys will achieve next.
