Wheesung has already announced SHINee’s Jonghyun is his favorite hoobae. Recently, the R&B veteran further validated this fact.
In an interview for donga.com, Wheesung talks about his 2009 hit Insomia, saying, “It’s just the title song, not personal experience. Insomnia, depression… Now I can laugh. The one who turned me good-natured is SHINee’s Kim Jonghyun.”
Wheesung goes on to relate that his greatest desired result during album promotions was to transform the ‘unpleasant’ to ‘pleasant,’ and that it was Jonghyun that helped the most in that transformation.
The artist also boasts the SHINee fans are as good as his fans now too.
“These days I’m greeted and welcomed warmly wherever I go. This is all thanks to Jonghyunie. Because I gave Jonghyunie pointer lessons when his throat hurt and I participated in SHINee’s album as a lyricist for 2 songs, their fans even support me.”
A supportive hoobae goes a long way. This has the feel of a lasting friendship, don’t you think?
