Enjoy a discussion about what’s hot coming out of Asia today with panelists Jeff Yang, “Asian Pop” columnist at the San Francisco Chronicle; Joyce Lan Kim, CEO of Soompi.com; Javabeans and Girlfriday of Dramabeans.com; Jackie Sia, Content Manager of DramaFever.com; and Samuel Jamier, chief curator of the Japan Society’s Japan Cuts Film Festival. David Hou of DramaFever.com will moderate a discussion about the current trends of Asian entertainment and artists in the United States today.

No I don't think the two are related. The one in San Diego has been around for a while and I think the ones that are advertised in other cities (ie NY, Baltimore, etc.) are much newer.

they're affiliated, but definitely not the same.

I'd be afraid of people coming after me for copyright or something, since I would assume that they watch the majority of dramas from the internet and not legitimate sources (TV or buying the DVDs.)

the panel's just about general asian entertainment and hollywood, so while they probably will talk about dramas, i don't think it'll be completely drama-centric. and i just think it's sort of weird to be at a panel with a couple other experts and speak in person with a pseudonym, heh.
