D-NA (The Boss) headed off to Japan under Sony Music

D-NA recently signed a contract with Sony Music Entertainment, the biggest record label in Japan and will be heading to Japan on the 23rd.

Representatives of Sony Japan have been watching D-NA closely, and finally made a visit to their agency, Open World Entertainment, for an on-the-spot audition, testing the members’ dancing and singing. They commented, “More so than anything else, we’re extremely satisfied with their singing talent. Especially Jay, he’s a rapper but he’s got exceptional vocal talent as well. We’ll be aiding D-NA’s entrance into Japan’s music market.”

Open World Entertainment stated, “After their audition, the representatives seemed very satisfied. Despite the young ages of the members, they showed off their singing and dancing skills. Their live performance earned them many points. D-NA also has a member fluent in Japanese so we think that everything went well.”

D-NA is currently preparing for their Japanese debut album along with promoting No One, Any One. A Japanese composer has taken over the entire production of their Japanese album and is planning to compose the album of J-pop style songs.

D-NA confessed, “The hardest part is recording in Japanese. It’s difficult to find the right emotions compared to singing in Korean. However, we’re excited being able to sing in another country. We’ll try our hardest to get our name, D-NA, known and to help the Hallyu Wave. There’s about six months of Japanese promotions scheduled but we hope that people will still remember us when we return.“

Pretty sure it's Karam, but all the members are learnin g Japanese at the moment(and Injun's pretty decent too). I haven't actually seen any videos or clips where I hear them speaking for extended periods of time in Japanese so...I guess we'll find out P:

Hahaha <3333 Sony's big so I think they'll be fine :D I think Japan will love them though, they have the vocal talent to win fans over and Japan likes the ones that can sing (or I would like to believe @_@ tehe)

But I do have a worry ;___; they don't have a completely solid or particularly large fanbase yet in Korea and they're already going overseas for promotions D: scared they'll be forgotten since Korean fans seem to lose interest when groups go overseas for promotions

IKR. Sony has L~arc, Diren Grey, Younha, YUI, Asian Kung-fu Generation 8D I really do think Japan will appreciate their voices/vocal abilities more, like they did with THSK, especially since D-NA are so young/handsome (lol my bias)~

And IKR That's why I'm unrealistically hoping they make it REALLY big in Japan... Korea likes to glory-hog so if they get high enough on the charts maybe D-NA will get more exposure that way like Younha did. Then again Cho Shin Sei got into the top twenty and Korea still doesn't really care so... :/ IDK

i hope they do well! i'm actually kind of pumped that they're planning on making an album specifically for the japanese market instead of just translating existing songs. not that it's bad to translate preexisting songs, but i'm interested in hearing the new songs & hopefully that works in their favor.

at first i was like WTF AKP because this isn't new information at all, we've known about them going to japan for a long time.

but before they had said it was going to be three months...now it's six? ngl i'm kinda sad. ): we always get to see less of groups when they're overseas in comparison to when they're in korea.

Also, seeing them comment on Jihwan's vocal talent makes me really happy, considering he used to be...well. Not good? lol. He's improved so much, I'm really proud of him.

Hopefully they'll keep D-NA appearing in variety shows every once in a while to keep them from disappearing off the map entirely... Karam said he'd still feature as a regular on BokBulBok (IDK how o_o? considering they're going to be living there)...
