With 2NE1's debut stage coming up on 17th I thought to make a little trip down memory lane with some currently active idol groups by searching each group's first debut stage performance in a tv show and first MV.

Esp. HUG. I've been with this damn group for too long. D: Changmin kissing kittens and hiding his smart snark, Junsu being the cutest thing ever before we learned the magic of his hip thrusts, Yunho's adorable old teeth and baby fat but still giving off the aura of an amazing leader , Yoochun shaving his already flawless skin and showing his trademark smile (a needed pimp skill for trust), and Jaejoong with his huge anime eyes - singing like a young pro & looking cool even though now we know he fails even harder than his old bff Yesung.

Big Bang's debut stage was fierce, wow. Their lives performances haven't been so great compared to that one... Too much work and not enough breaks. D: Forgot that TVXQ lip-synched their debut stage too, lol.

I'm so clearly biased, but none of the debuts from SNSD, KARA or Wonder Girls were close to spectacular. They've all improved so much since then, but After School totally pwns them when it comes to debut stage. :D

I agree completely. The first time I saw it I couldn't believe that it was a debut performance - there was so much energy and life, you couldn't see that they were nervous or unsure at all. Their performances aren't as entertaining these days though...they really do need a break, poor guys.

I just hope 2NE1 comes as good. Hwaiting.

Also I remember when I first saw Kara's 'Break it' MV - I thought I'd mixed them up with an older group - I still can't believe those are the same ~if you want a pretty~ girls.

I already saw SHINee, BB and Suju's debut stages - BB's was fierce, SHINee's was promising and Suju's made me realize that hey, they really grew up over the years. I think I saw WG's as well - SoHee wasn't that bad - I was surprised to see her support rapping - but I missed YooBin. Ah, I'm still a newbie so I only know most of these groups in their current carnations.

ahahhahha, I seriously cannot handle donghae's blonde locks in suju's debut. he always dances well but THAT HAIR. kangin too ... I appreciated sungmin and siwon's "normal" hair, LOL.

dbsk's come a long, long way from "hug." my mom listens to that song all the time, so I really had no idea how delicious they were until youtube and I became bff. :p
