4minute cries about being unpopular

On a recording of SBS E!TV’s 4minute All-In, there was a section which showed interviews with random people on the streets. The interviews asked questions about the group, and the answers given by the random people were quite shocking to the girls.

Many said that they knew the group and their songs very well, but did not recognize the faces of each member. These statements made the five girls burst into tears, which forced the filming to be stopped.

The girls later on released their feelings at that moment, stating, “We all knew about it, but since the comments were said directly to us, it felt like the sky was falling down.”

you know articles. i doubt they -cried- , more like watery eyes and a few tear droplets. it probably was a bit of a shock to go on non-stop promotion in multiple countries only at the end of it to be directly told that people still don't know your name in your own country. it's one thing to read about it but another to actually see people say it.

I honestly wouldn't recognize anyone from 4minute if it wasn't Gayoon or Hyuna. They need to be out more~
but poor bbs. I know they've worked hard, and it should be a weight on your shoulders if you're not recognized by it.

I'd be one's mom or manager i'd tell them: "you're still rookies, you've made few songs, Hyunah is all over the place, there's tons of girls groups,.. how the hell could normal people recognize all your faces and names? be happy they at least know your songs. you have talent so you're here to do music or for your faces? some talented bands are out there and people may not even know they exist. go wash the dishies and work hard. thinking that way will not lead you far."

But I think the issue is a lot of idols (not all, so pls don't crucify me people), and I mean A LOT of idols are in it for the fame. Music is a just a means to that end.

I don't think it's that bad.
At least people know the group n the SONGS!!
Some other groups were even deemed as non-existent at all by public
apart from teens who devote their times to follow the music scene.

I like them...
I just wish cube would let the other members except Hyuna to go on variety shows more often.

I mean I like 4Minute but isn't that kinda expected from non-fans? Well Kpop's popular here rn and most of my friends know the bands but not their faces/names etc. I'd have thought that that's for most people who don't necessarily follow the girls.
