Why is U-Kiss starring in 'I Am Legend'?



How much importance will U-Kiss have in SBS drama 'I Am Legend'?

U-Kiss members Dongho (drums), Kevin (guitar), Soohyun (vocal), Kiseop (bass), Kibum (keyboard) will be starring as the idol group Kiss Band that is discovered by a music company manager Kang Sooin (Jang Shinyoung) in 'I Am Legend'. Kibum has already starred in the Thai drama 'The Horizon Under the Same Sun' alongside member Eli, but for the other members, this is their first time acting. Because of this, the interest in how much they will be appearing has been gathering.

A NH Media representative stated, "Their importance itself isn't big. The plan is to show a little bit of them playing in the latter half of the drama", "Because they won't be appearing a lot, the burden about acting isn't very big. However, to show the image of a rock band, they are practicing very hard with indie band Wiretap in My Ear". He continued, "The members are pulling through with a busy schedule with both preparations for their next album and the drama. They will be able to show everyone a good image".

U-Kiss is expecting to make a come back in September.

U-KISS' Official Japanese Fan Club Open



This time round, the affiliated office <NH Media> of U-KISS, a very popular Korean idol group with polished style and charismatic music has signed a management contract with Japan's Media Interactive Inc. Corporation and an official fan club (http://www.u-kiss.jp/) has been opened for the Japanese fans.

U-KISS, consisting of Korea-born Soohyun, Kibum, Dongho and Kiseop, America-born Kevin and Eli as well as Macau-born Alexander, is a 7-members male idol group of international appeal.

With such rich internationality, gorgeous visual appearance, powerful dances, addictive electronics songs, they have gained overwhelming popularity among young women and one of the members. Kibum has also garnered attention as the younger brother of Kim Hyungjoon, the youngest member of the very popular idol group <SS501>.

The members, comprising of 16 to 22 years old, because they can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Portuguese besides Korean, have already gained high recognitions in Taiwan, China and other Asian countries apart from Korea. Furthermore, they are studying Japanese real hard which make them the idols so far who have international language skills as weapon and are expected to conquer the world.

They debuted in 2008 with a single album "N-Generation" with the song "I'm Not Young", which showed their handsome and innocent smiles. After a long break, they released their first full album "Only One" in February 2010, which their top hit "Binggeul Binggeul" raised them into stardom. With their 3rd single "Man Man Ha Ni", an air of charm to adult men image changeover, they gained their reputation.

Different from previous idol groups, the rare presence of U-KISS meets all the essential elements to be active around the world. This December, their Japan's first single live performance as well as major fan events has been decided.

U-KISS' SooHyun Quits Musical 'A Chorus Line'



U-KISS' Soohyun backed off from musical 'A Chorus Line'.

U-KISS' Soohyun quits his first musical debut performance due to busy schedule in preparation for U-KISS new album.

Soohyun had passed the audition to be in 'A Chorus Line' back in June, but he joined at a later date than the other cast members, who started practicing for the musical earlier. Due of this, he worked extremely hard and practiced until late night.

Soohyun was busy preparing for U-KISS' new album as well as appearing in various variety shows despite putting an extraordinary effort to practice for his first musical stage. Moreover, it was a bit hard for Soohyun as a singer to debut in musical stage since he has to concentrate on the group’s activities and practicing in parallel as well.

The first stage for the musical was successfully held on last July 29th. However, Soohyun did not appear in it as it was difficult for him to make an appearance as a fixed member in the musical since he has to concentrate in the new album's preparation as well as for the group's Asia tour schedules.

Soohyun said, "This is supposed to be my first musical since debuted. I prepared and practised hard for it although the effort wasn't fruitful. I apologize to fans who have been anticipating seeing me in the musical. I will work hard to show a better performance when given the chance again."

Meanwhile, U-KISS is currently in the middle of preparing for their new album that is scheduled to be released in September.
