Bong Tae Gyu’s Father killed in a mountaineering accident

It has been confirmed in a statement by his agency, Boundaries of Forest, that the father of actor Bong Tae Gyu was killed on August 8th in a mountaineering accident in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province. The exact circumstances surrounding the accident have not been confirmed or released, but police were investigating.
Bong Tae Gyu is best known for his roles in movies such as See You After School, The Birth Of A Family, Two Faces Of My Girlfriend, A Tale Of Legendary Libido, Youth Groove, and most recently Survival. He also played a cameo role in the Kdrama Personal Taste.
Tae Gyu is the youngest in his family having two older sisters, because of this he was very close to his father. He is reportedly extremely heartbroken over the sudden unexpected death of his father. No plans have yet been finalized for his father’s wake and funeral. His girlfriend, actress Lee Eun and her family were said to be helping his family with the arrangements. Our sincere sympathy and condolences to Bong Tae Gyu and his family.

I feel not enough people in this community know of this talented man. He is a truly great comedic actor. Two Faces of My Girlfriend will always be my favorite Korean film, and is definitely worth a watch.

Very sad. I could never live without my parents. My mom sometimes jokes about when she's gone and I put my fingers in my ears.

I watch Two Faces Of My Girlfriend for Jug Ryeo Won but he was funny in it. I like when movies use normal looking people because the audience sympathizes with them more. When I watched Teach Me English, I couldn't, for the life of me, suspend reality and pretend she was homely.
