Big Bang, taking Japan by storm, release of live performances from MTV WS VMAJ award ceremony
On August 6th at 8:00pm, global music entertainment channel MTV will broadcast highlight performances of the winners of the ‘MTV World Stage Video Music Award Japan (MTV WS VMAJ),’ which took place on May 29th at Japan’s Yoyogi National Stadium, in 154 countries worldwide including Korea.
‘MTV WS VMAJ’ is a popular music award ceremony amongst Japanese music fans, and with this year being the 9th year for ‘VMAJ,’ it combined with MTV’s global concert program ‘World Stage’ to put together a music festival at which fans could enjoy both an award ceremony and a concert.
In particular, there will be an exclusive performance by Big Bang, who took home three of the 17 categories: ‘Best New Artist Video,’ ‘Best Pop Video,’ and ‘Best Collaboration Video’ (for the collaboration between Japanese group W-inds and G-Dragon).
