Jay Park is Shut Out

Jay Park is going on a fan meeting tour in Asia, and it turns out that Olympic Stadium in Seoul, Korea denied Jay Park when his people approached them to rent the space for his fan meet.

Olympic Stadium’s reps said on the third, “Jaebeom’s people did come to us about the fanmeeting. We did get a request to rent our space. It’s also true that we turned down the request.”

They continued, “We were told that 2PM’s fans would protest against Jaebeom having a fan meeting here. We are a public space so we didn’t want to be involved in any problems.”

When asked if the denial of the rental request had anything to do with his controversial MySpace incident, they quickly replied, “Absolutely not. That doesn’t make sense.”

Since he was denied by the Olympic Stadium, he will hold the fan meeting at the Seoul AhnDamDong Koryo University’s Gymnasium on the 28th and the 29th.

I think it’s pretty lame that Olympic Stadium was manipulated by unreasonable fans, and i’m not sure I buy the excuse that the MySpace incident didn’t factor into their decision. What do you think?

Looooong story short?

Waaay back when Jay was new to Korea he wrote some stuff on his Myspace about thinking that it was a dumb place, essentially. Later on, people found out about it, leading fans to say he was dumb/should gtfo of Korea etc. They even started a suicide petition. yeah.
So Jay quit 2PM. Then, in January (I think?) JYPE said no, he would not ever come back, despite fans pleas for him to do so. They also said that he had done something 'really bad' aside from the myspace thing, and that contributed to his decision.
Jay struck out on his own, 2PM fandom exploded/imploded/is still cleaning up the body parts.

Honestly, I totally buy the fact that they were manipulated by fans. It is lame though - but they probably didn't want to have to deal with grafiti'd walls later.
