Amidst Heavy Competition, 4minute Gets 22nd~

The 4Minute Girls have just released their 2nd Single in Japan, "I My Me Mine". They have done a number of promotional activities in TV and other outlets as well (more are coming soon). Fortunately, the girls' hard work has been recognized as they got the 22nd spot on Japan's Oricon Chart on the first day of its release (28th July) despite of a tight competition between other popular JPOP and JROCK singers such as Yamapi, Amuro Namie AKB48, GACKT and WaT.

Well if its a daily chart its not that surprising as most fans make their purchase on the first day. That's why most artist get #1 on their release/comeback day.

This is the daily charts. They might be 22 now but they could drop very fast. Weekly charts is what counts the most. So wait for that before getting to exited.

At any rate, it's hard to say where it will go. It's a bit disappointing as first day sales, are USUALLY the highest day and it's more likely that they'll take a huge drop in the second week unless they get really lucky.
