SBS E!TV’s E! News Korea recently revealed that another Korean group had got themselves on the Billboard charts a long time ago. Their group name was called S.Blush, and the members were people that you know very well.
The members included diva Son Dambi and sexy After School’s Kahi.
In the past, the two were in the project group along with a couple of other girls, which formed S.Blush. They released a song titled It’s My Life back in 2006, and managed to reach the number 2 spot on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart. Below is a video of the group performing the song live.
Although there are some well informed fans who knew of this before, the news has spread rapidly after the recent report on E! News and is bringing much attention, as it’s one of the top keywords on the various Korean portals today.

Korean female group S-Blush ranks second with its debut single, “It’s My Life” on Billboard Chart this week.
The single rose to second place on the Hot Dance Club Play category of the U.S. music chart in the May 5 edition, up from the fourth last week. The single has been on the chart for about 10 weeks.
The Hot Dance Club Play totals the number of introductions among DJs at clubs in the United States.
The single has been remixed in more than 10 different versions after it was released by iTunes, the U.S.-based digital media site.
“It’s My Life” was co-composed by American composer Peter Rafelson and Korean singer/producer Lee Hyun-do, a former member of Deux.
Despite the rising interest in the group, detailed profiles of S-Blush have not been unveiled.
The group launched by CJ Music in 2005 has been covertly trained as part of the Global Project targeting overseas markets. CJ Music did not reveal its profiles such as names and faces or any introductions.
The group originally consists of five members from both Korea and the U.S. who have passed audition tests in New York, Los Angeles and other cities.
But the two members withdrew from the team and the company is currently recruiting new members.
Previous Korean singers who ranked in the U.S. chart include Mink and Kim Bum-soo. Mink topped in the same dance section last year.
Kim’s “Hello, Goodbye, Hello,” an English version of “Haru (A Day)” made No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles in 2001.
The Billboard Chart makes public a variety of genres in 35 categories every week.

Date: 2010-07-21 07:31 pm (UTC)i'm thinkin' the djs in these clubs remixed this song or did something to jazz it up (as they often do in clubs) bc this song by itself is kinda...weak? for clubs anyway. :P
still...wow, it's a shame they didn't go on longer.
